About George Noory

George Noory, host of the nationally syndicated program, Coast to Coast AM, says if he weren’t a national radio talk show host he’d be in politics. Heard by millions of listeners, Coast To Coast AM airs on approximately 564 stations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Guam.
While hosting The Nighthawk, a wildly successful, late-night program on KTRS in St. Louis, Noory was recruited by Premiere Radio Networks to guest host on Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell.  He became the permanent host of the phenomenally successful over-night program on January 1, 2003, following Bell’s retirement.  Since then, Noory’s audience has continued to grow.
Noory captivates program listeners with his discussions of paranormal phenomena, time travel, alien abductions, conspiracies and all things curious and unexplained. He is driven, he has said, by the desire to solve the great mysteries of our time. From his first days as a radio broadcaster he says, “I’ve wanted to cover stories that the mainstream media never touch—the unusual, the paranormal and things like that. I learned that broadcast was the best business for exploring these issues, and I’ve been doing it for 33 years.”
He dates his interest in these matters to a book by Walter Sullivan, We Are Not Alone, that his mother gave him when he was 13. He was hooked.
Prior to his late-night show on KTRS, Noory had an extensive broadcast career.  He started in radio at WCAR-AM in Detroit where his first-ever interview was with nuclear physicist and UFO expert Stanton Friedman.  From 1974-1978, he served as news producer and executive news producer at WJBK-TV.  At age 28, he became the youngest major market news director in the country at KMSP-TV in Minneapolis.
Noory was also the director of news planning and development at KSTP-TV in Minneapolis, was news director at KSDK-TV in St. Louis and the recipient of three Emmy Awards while a news executive.
Noory released his first book in 2006. Worker In The Light: Unlock Your Five Senses And Liberate Your Limitless Potential, co-written by best-selling author William J. Birnes, is Noory’s revolutionary guide to spiritual enlightenment, human empowerment, ultimate productivity and absolute happiness. Noory and Birnes co-authored a follow up in 2009 entitled Journey to the Light, in which they present amazing first-hand accounts of how ordinary people changed their own lives, transcended their doubts and fears, and unlocked the secrets to their spiritual growth. In October 2011, Noory released his third book, Talking To The Dead. Co-written by Rosemary Ellen Guiley, a leading expert on the paranormal and supernatural, the book explores the colorful history and personalities behind spirit communications, weaving together spirituality, metaphysics, science and technology.
He was born, raised and educated in Detroit. He has three children and six grandchildren. He served nine years in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

Roundup in city-dwellers' urine
Studies have already found Monsanto's toxic herbicide Roundup in groundwater, in streams, and even in the rain and air of US agricultural areas. It's been found in our blood and even crosses the placental barrier to enter our unborn fetuses. So are we surprised that a German university study has now found significant concentrations of Roundup's main ingredient glyphosate in the urine of city dwellers?
Perhaps we should be surprised at the amount: all the samples had concentrations of glyphosate at 5 to 20 times the limit for drinking water.
Roundup is used on railway lines, urban pavements, and roadsides. It's used to dry down grain crops before harvest. But the single greatest use of Roundup is on genetically engineered "Roundup Ready" crops - designed not to die when sprayed with the poison.
Wouldn't it be good if we too were Roundup Ready, so we wouldn't get sick or die due to the virtually omnipresent toxin? After all, studies now link it to birth defects, endocrine disruption, cancer, and abnormal sperm.
As Roundup is a best-selling product worldwide and there are massive profits hanging on its continued use, the new testing initiative has fallen prey to the usual attempts at disinformation, distortion, and intimidation. Note the excerpt from the story: "The address of the university labs, which did the research, the data and the evaluation of the research method is known to the editors. Because of significant pressure by agrochemical representatives and the fear that the work of the lab could be influenced, the complete analytical data will only be published in the course of this year." Adverse effects in pigs fed GM corn "disappear"
They're at it again - hoping that no one actually reads their GMO studies, just the fanciful headlines and press releases. If someone does read about a short-term (31-day) study with pigs fed Monsanto's Bt corn, they would have seen for themselves that had intestinal changes, heavier kidneys, and gained less weight per pound of feed consumed - oops! The authors admit right in the summary abstract that these differences deserve a follow up for further clarification. [Read the Article]
But if you were like most people who let headlines tell you what studies reported, you would get a totally different version. The story title in Science Daily boldly proclaimed: "Genetically modified food safe, animal study suggests." [Read the Article]
The author of the Science Daily piece wrote, "no adverse health effects" were found in three feeding studies on pigs fed GM corn. Perhaps the author should have read the studies, instead of taking dictation from Monsanto. Come to think of it, so should the government.

USDA greenlights useless GM corn
Former US Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman characterized the hype around GMOs. They were "going to solve the problems of the human race and feed the hungry and clothe the naked." That was during the Clinton Administration! We're still waiting.
Finally, Monsanto has rolled out something that doesn't just drink their poisonous herbicide or produce poisonous pesticides. The biotech industry finally has their long sought after poster child - a corn genetically engineered to survive better in drought conditions. Or does it?
In fact, Monsanto's hi-tech, uber-expensive corn only works in "moderate" drought conditions and doesn't even outperform the natural non-GMO drought-tolerant varieties. So after more then a decade in development, this much touted corn is a total failure. It gives nothing positive to farmers. And it exposes consumers to a long list of possible health dangers - which are not evaluated by Monsanto or the government. So what did our US Department of Agriculture do? They approved it!

GM crops work against sustainable farming - study
GMOs are a lot of things, but they're not "sustainable agriculture." According to an article published in the journal BioScience, weeds are having a field day (so to speak). Excessive reliance on Roundup caused the spread of many harmful "herbicide tolerant" weeds that now infest millions of acres of farmland the US, resulting in greater herbicide use.
But the article goes beyond other similar ones by concluding that the development of GM herbicide-tolerant crops, especially 2,4-D and dicamba-tolerant crops, contributes to the decline of sustainable weed management and of sustainable agriculture generally, as former US EPA biotech adviser Dr. Doug Gurian-Sherman explains in his blog. Tell USDA To Reject Agent Orange Corn
Dow Chemical is currently requesting an unprecedented USDA approval: a genetically engineered (GE) version of corn that is resistant to 2,4-D, a major component of the highly toxic Agent Orange. USDA approval of Dow's GE corn will trigger a big increase in 2,4-D use - and our exposure to this toxic herbicide. Exposure to 2,4-D has been linked to major health problems that include cancer (especially non-Hodgkin's lymphoma), lowered sperm counts, liver disease and Parkinson's disease. [Sign the petition]
Tell President Obama to DUMP Former Monsanto VP Michael Taylor!
When Barack Obama ran for President he promised to end the “revolving door” between agribusiness lobbyists and government and to “regulate” factory farms. It's time for President Obama to stand up for real food safety and put an end to the assault against family farmers producing healthy food. It's time to protect family farmers and stop letting Big Ag lobbyists write the rules. [Sign the Petition!]

165 Banks on the Verge of Collapse, WW 3, Iran's Nuclear Program: Weekly News Wrap-Up

By Greg Hunter’s
The big story is the continued threat of World War III in the Middle East.  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, this week, sanctions are not working on Iran; and the U.S. Senate is talking about a “time table” to stop Iran’s nuclear program.  A new bi-partisan resolution says that containing a nuclear armed Iran is not an option.  These are just two more signs that war in the Middle East is approaching.  The only question is when?  Meanwhile, the UN condemned Syria for its brutal and deadly crackdown on protesters.  The UN and Arab League are calling for Bashar Assad, Syria’s leader, to step down.  That will not happen without a fight, and Iran and Russia are reportedly continuing to arm Syria.
In other news, President Barack Obama released his 2013 budget proposal this week, and it is chocked full of new taxes and cuts to deductions.  The budget calls for things like taxes for 401-K plans and health insurance premiums and limits to charitable gifts and other write offs.  According to a new report from Senator Rob Portman, the set to hit the $16.4 trillion debt ceiling before Election Day.  The country is burning $132 billion a month. is reporting at least two big banks are planning on a Greek Default by March 23.  The only question worth asking after that is who’s next–Italy, Spain or Portugal, anyone?  Foreclosures are going to spike as a result of the $26 billion “robo-signing” deal.  That’s what reported yesterday. predicted this on Monday.  This may be one of the reasons that is reporting 165 U.S. banks are on the brink of collapse.  Greg Hunter gives you all these stories and more in the Weekly News Wrap-Up.

NEW RON PAUL DOC Exposes Election Fraud, Deciet, Integrity

New Ron Paul Doc Exposes Election Fraud, Deceit, Integrity
For Immediate Release / Debbie Lewis,
Columbia, MO February 17, 2012 - The 2012 Presidential Election is less than nine months away.  People concerned about the direction of our nation are watching the news and debates regarding the Republican hopefuls closely as President Obama's approval rating is still relatively low.  The Ron Paul Uprising is shedding some light on various topics of interest for voters this cycle: vote fraud, presidential character, government's power grab and the only candidate with across the board appeal: Ron Paul.

Vote fraud is a major concern, with the recent events in Maine.  Fox 19's Ben Swann, CNN's Rachel Maddow, the New York Daily News, Russia Today and many independent blogs have reported about the missing counties in Maine and are asking why the Maine GOP would call the win for Romney with such a close vote and three counties that have not been counted or had their vote postponed.

The new film looks at vote problems as general as machine maintenance to the more major problems of voter role purges and undercounts, also looking at the only true solution, a return to paper ballots.  "One more state election and one more case of obvious vote manipulation," comments Gary Franchi, associate producer of the new film.  "People have suspected vote fraud in the past and the ways in which it can be achieved are nearly endless."

Another topic covered in the new film is the character of the person running.  "Does anyone actually pay attention to the integrity of the presidential hopefuls?" asks the film's director, William Lewis.  "Too many times, our presidential candidates say one thing while campaigning, but does another thing once elected.  President Obama was no exception."  The film takes a look at not only what characteristics should be considered when choosing a candidate, but also looks at the voting record of then-Senator Obama compared to that of Representative-turned-Presidential hopeful Paul.

While campaigning on a platform of peace, the film takes a hard look at military spending averages, per year in office, of the Obama administration and Bush administrations, which many Democrats have labeled a "war-monger."  A HANDOUT with this information, and more, and the VOTE COMPARISON can be downloaded from the website.

The Ron Paul Uprising, available for as little as $5 per copy, also helps tell the story of a man with impeccable integrity and only candidate actively seeking to shrink the size of government.  Help expose those around you to the truth about A Real Constitutional Expert: RON PAUL...  Get your copy today, along with the handout and the vote comparison, by visiting

Mitt Romney has raised the issue of the social safety net. Washington could learn from the lesson of his church.

Salt Lake City
Ever since Mitt Romney said he was "not concerned about the very poor" but would fix America's social safety net "if it needs repair," conservatives and liberals have been frantically making suggestions. Gov. Romney says he would consider options like restructuring Medicaid. But if he wants to see a welfare system that lets almost no one fall through the cracks while at the same time ensuring that its beneficiaries don't become lifelong dependents, he could look to his own church.

As I ride in a golf cart through a new 15-acre warehouse on the outskirts of Utah's capital, I can't help but wonder: How many Wal-Marts would fit in here? How many burgers can you make from 4,400 industrial pallets of frozen meat? And how do they keep this place cleaner than my kitchen floor?
Dedicated last month, the Bishops Central Storehouse contains a two-year supply of food to support the Mormon church's welfare system in the U.S. and Canada (primarily for church members in need) and its humanitarian program, which sends food, medical supplies and other necessities to the needy (of all faiths) world-wide.
In addition to goods from canned peaches to emergency generators, the facility also houses the church's own trucking company, complete with 43 tractors and 98 trailers, as well as a one-year supply of fuel, parts and tires for the vehicles. Just in case.
The storehouse is not only a kind of physical marvel—it has been built to withstand an earthquake with a magnitude as high as 7.5—but also a symbol of strength and self-sufficiency.
Launched during the Great Depression, the Mormon welfare system was designed by church leaders as a way to match the armies of the unemployed faithful with some of the nearby farms that needed temporary labor. As storehouse manager Richard Humpherys explains, goods and services were traded so that if a father needed food for his family he could get some in exchange for, say, repairing the fence of a widow down the road.
Associated Press
Mormons and U.S. Marines carry aid to landslide victims in central Philippines in 2006.

In 1936, Heber Grant, one of the church leaders, reported the reasoning behind this effort: "Our primary purpose was to set up insofar as it might be possible, a system under which the curse of idleness would be done away with, the evils of a dole abolished and independence, industry, thrift and self respect be once more established among our people. The aim of the Church is help the people to help themselves. Work is to be re-enthroned as the ruling principle of the lives of our Church membership."
Over the ensuing decades, the church acquired farms and ranches of its own. It built grain silos and dairies and canneries to store and process the food. By the end of World War II, church leaders had enough in the way of reserves that they contacted President Truman to ask if they might assist in feeding and clothing the destitute across Europe. The president readily agreed.

Because it has members on the ground around the world, the church continues to be an important force in bringing food and supplies to the impoverished and victims of natural disasters. Local church leaders contact the central headquarters in Salt Lake City to tell them what is needed—gauze pads, school supplies, wheelchairs—and the church does its best to accommodate.

The Department of Defense recently visited the new storehouse to find out how the Mormons are able to mobilize so quickly, and there is an almost military sense of efficiency and strategy to the church's efforts. When Hurricane Katrina struck, for instance, the church had positioned its fully loaded trucks in a kind of semicircle from South Carolina to Texas because no one knew how the storm was going to move. The church used reserves of fuel that it has placed around the country, and drivers were able to bring full tanker trucks into New Orleans, powering rescue vehicles and even chain saws to remove tree limbs.
Most of the inventory in the central storehouse, though, goes to supply more than 100 smaller storehouses around the country, plus hundreds of soup kitchens and homeless shelters of other religious communities around North America. Members of the Mormon church who find themselves in difficult circumstances can go to their local bishop and ask for aid.

The bishop then fills out an order allowing them to go and receive food from the local storehouse. Seventy percent of the items on the shelves are produced by the church itself and the remainder are purchased at steep wholesale discounts. According to Rick Foster, who oversees a smaller storehouse in Salt Lake City along with the cannery and dairy at Welfare Square (the original site of all the church's welfare services), people depend on the food at the storehouse for an average of three to six months.
That's because the church's goal is to help them get back on their feet as soon as possible. And the storehouse is only one of the tools at the disposal of local bishops, who may also refer members to other church programs, including employment counseling or family services. The bishop may even use money from a fund at his disposal to help pay for education, housing or utilities.
The labor behind the farming, food production, counseling and even cattle ranching is provided almost entirely by volunteers. Some are retired folks who come in every day. Other times an entire ward, or congregation, will come for the day, each of the members standing on an industrial assembly line packaging bread, processing cheese or sealing jars of apple sauce.
Regular tithing by church members helps pay for the facilities, but the primary source of capital support is the Mormons' monthly fast, as church members are asked to contribute what they would have spent on two meals. Many give much more, says Mr. Foster.
It is safe to assume that Mr. Romney is among them. The tens of millions of dollars he has given the church over the years have raised suspicion in some quarters. What does the church do with all that cash? Wouldn't that money have been better spent paying a higher income-tax rate? But his donations are supporting the kind of safety net that government can never hope to create. Jesus may have said the poor will always be with you, but he didn't say Medicaid would.

Cynicism ?
‘My rival in this race,” candidate Barack Obama announced early in 2007, “is not other candidates. It’s cynicism.” It’s now clear that what he meant by this was other people’s cynicism — not his.
As you may recall, Obama came into office spouting a lot of hopeful and idealistic rhetoric. For instance, during a Nevada Democratic debate, he told the late Tim Russert: “My greatest strength, I think, is the ability to bring people together from different perspectives to get them to recognize what they have in common and to move people in a different direction.”

Whether that was a lie or simply unwarranted self-confidence is unknowable. What is plainly knowable is that it was untrue. Among modern presidents, going back to Dwight Eisenhower, Obama has proven uniquely incapable of working with his opponents.

Even Jimmy Carter got his signature airline-deregulation bill passed with bipartisan majorities. Bill Clinton got NAFTA, welfare reform and some balanced budgets with GOP help. George W. Bush got Democrats on board for No Child Left Behind and the Iraq war.

Some bipartisan victories have happened on Obama’s watch, but he’s often been the partisan loser in such fights. Congress extended the Bush-era tax cuts, much to Obama’s dismay. Even on more clear-cut bipartisan victories — say, the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, or the trade deals Obama delayed unnecessarily — there’s little evidence that Obama brought any opponents around to his position. He just isn’t very persuasive.

Now Obama’s defenders insist this isn’t his fault. He’s actually superpersuasive and bipartisan, he just suffers from the fact that the Republicans are the most unreasonable politicians ever, so he can’t be blamed for failing to work with them. It’s like the guy who insists that he’s a real ladies’ man but can’t get a phone number because all of the hot women in the bar just happen to be gay.

Actually, it’s worse. Everywhere Obama goes, he explains that he’s failed to get anything done either because the system is broken or because his opponents lack the honor to work with him. Such arguments define cynicism.

Just this month, after five Democratic senators and several members of his own inner circle (including Vice President Joe Biden and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta), not to mention the unified leadership of the Catholic Church, expressed dismay over his decision to force religious institutions to pay for contraceptive and “preventative” services in violation of their faith, Obama insisted that opponents of the move were “cynical.”
Also this month, he proposed a budget that assumes everyone in this country is too stupid to understand what he’s up to. It simply pretends there’s no debt or deficit problem and assumes that entitlement spending is nothing to worry about. It “saves” money by cutting spending no one ever planned to spend. It proposes huge tax hikes nobody believes that even Obama wants.

Why? Because Obama expects Republicans to vote against his budget — as any responsible legislator would — so he can then demonize the “do-nothing Congress” while pretending to be serious about fixing our problems.

By the way, the only part of Congress worthy of that sobriquet is the Democrat-controlled Senate, which hasn’t proposed a budget in over 1,000 days. Why hasn’t it? To make it easier for the Democratic president to demonize his opponents.

Instead of fulfilling his vow to deliver a “new kind of politics” and an era of idealism, he’s made politics more cynical than ever. The case for Obama has become the case against everyone and everything inconvenient to his success. Don’t agree with Obama’s policies? Well, you can’t have a good reason. So you must be racist, greedy, stupid or corrupt.

Meanwhile, Obama casts himself as the humble servant of the 99 percent, even as he forklifts Wall Street cash into his campaign coffers and exploits the super PACs he not long ago claimed were a “threat to democracy.”

But to point that out is just cynicism.
