A year ago this month, the attorney general for the District of Columbia let NBC News anchor David Gregory off scot-free for possession of a “high capacity” magazine because doing so “would not promote public safety.”
Now, Irvin Nathan refuses to use that same prosecutorial discretion for an average citizen who violated a bizarre technicality that makes empty casings and shells a crime as serious as having an illegal firearm.

Mr. Witaschek, a successful financial adviser with no criminal history, is the first known case of a citizen being prosecuted in D.C. for inoperable ammunition. Washington police and prosecutors have spent a year and a half trying to nail him for the possession of so-called unregistered ammunition.
A hunter and gun owner, Mr. Witaschek has always kept his firearms at his sister’s house in Virginia. If convicted, he faces a year in jail and a $1,000 fine for having a single, inoperable shotgun shell in his home. The jury trial starts on Feb. 11.
The Metropolitan Police Department raided Mr. Witaschek’s rented Georgetown house twice in the summer of 2012 on the word of his angry ex-wife.
Frustrated with not finding the promised firearms, the police handcuffed him, searched his home top to bottom and came out with only ammunition, which carries the same felony penalty as a firearm.
(Click here for more details of the raids from my first story on his case.)
Mr. Witaschek told me this week, “Since the night my home was invaded and family terrorized by a militarized D.C. police force, I am more afraid of what government is doing than I am of any of the people I encountered when I spent the night in jail.”

He added, “The Second Amendment was meant to guarantee individuals the right to protect themselves against government — as much as against private bad guys and gangs.”
There have been two pre-trail hearings in the case so far. At the end of the first hearing in November, Judge Robert Morin gave the government until Jan. 3 to come up with a good defense for the initial police raid without a search warrant.
Knowing things weren’t going in their favor, the two assistant attorneys general for the District on the case, Peter Saba and Oritsejemine Trouth, offered Mr. Witaschek probation if he pleaded guilty. He declined the offer.
At the second hearing, the judge disallowed the first warrantless search and the fruits of it. This eliminated a box of rifle ammunition from the charges.
Undeterred, the prosecutors continued with the two items from the second raid — a misfired 12-gauge shotgun shell and a box of muzzleloader sabots.
Sabots are plastic covers that make it easier to push the bullet into a muzzleloader gun. There is no propellent on the bullet or sabot — because the gunpowder is separated — so it is not clear that it can be categorized as ammunition and thus only registered gun owners can possess it.
Thus, the single vaguely legitimate remaining charge for “unregistered ammunition” is the misfired shotgun shell that Mr. Witaschek has kept as a souvenir from deer hunting years earlier. The shell cannot be fired because the primer was already stricken and failed to propel it.
“I believe that some in the prosecution and police apparatus know what they did and are trying to continue this charade to cover their tracks,” Mr. Witaschek said of the warrantless raid and SWAT team tactics used against his family. “If I am proven a ‘criminal,’ then their bad acts are covered. If not, they are liable.”
That’s why Mr. Witaschek turned down the prosecution’s second offer that he would plead guilty to a reduced charge of “attempted possession” of ammunition. That crime still would carry a maximum of penalty of a six-month jail sentence, and it is not eligible for a jury trial.
Neither of the prosecutors nor the spokesman for Mr. Nathan responded to requests for comment.
Without a firearm, Mr. Witaschek could not do anything dangerous with an inoperable shotgun shell or muzzleloading bullets.
So it is inconceivable that a judge or jury would see this case as anything other than an overly technical interpretation of a law supposedly intended to prevent crime.
Nevertheless, the attorney general and his team insisted on prosecuting. Mr. Nathan’s office has spent countless hours and taxpayer money to try to nail a man who is an upstanding member of society with no intent to harm anyone.
Mr. Witaschek deserves the same treatment as the powerful TV anchor Mr. Gregory. Mr. Nathan should drop this absurd charge before this case goes to the jury.

The News with Sen. Cruz - January 24, 2014

January 24, 2014

One question is on the mind of all Americans: can we trust the Obama administration to keep its promises, protect individuals’ rights, and uphold the law?

The lack of accountability in Washington is creating a crisis of confidence in this country, and under this President, trust in government is approaching record lows.

President Obama has an opportunity to address people’s concerns in his State of the Union address Tuesday. Please keep reading below for the full list of five questions I am asking the President to address and for an update on the latest in Washington.

All the best,

Truths that need to be told about Hillary Clinton from Dick Morris By Richard Anthony

Don't Vote for Hillary in 2016 Button

A very good and dear friend of mine, Dan Bekins, owner of Executives Service Agency in Phoenix, Arizona, contacted me with some information regarding Hillary Clinton. Dan suggested that I do some research to verify it for myself, and so I did. What I found was almost unbelievable. Hillary didn’t really have a great past before she entered politics. One could say it was quite radical. In fact, we could say it was extremely radical.
Now, I pride myself on writing my own material and only use other sources for verification of facts, but I am going to share some information from Dick, written by Mr. Morris about Hillary back in May of 2007.
Mr. Morris writes:
Bill Clinton’s syrupy five minute ad for Hillary… he introduces the commercial by saying that (he) wants to share some things we may not know about Hillary’s background. His version of her biography is about as reliable as if it appeared in Pravda!

So, I wanted to make a few corrections.

Bill says: Hillary never wanted to run for public office, but she did want to work at public service.

The facts are: When Clinton was considering not running for another term as Governor of Arkansas in 1990, Hillary said she would run if he didn’t. She and Bill even had me take two surveys to assess her chances of winning. The conclusion was that she couldn’t win because people would just see her as a seat warmer for when Bill came back licking his wounds after losing for president. So she didn’t run. Bill did and won. But there is no question she had her eye on public office, as opposed to service, long ago.

Bill says: In law school Hillary worked on legal services for the poor.

The facts are: Hillary’s main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a federal agent. She went to court every day as part of a law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal.

Bill says: Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a children’s rights project for poor kids.

The facts are: Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party. She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him.

Bill says: Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers.

The facts are: She flunked the DC bar exam and only passed the Arkansas bar. She had no job offers in Arkansas and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there. She only joined the prestigious Rose Law Firm after Bill became Attorney General and made partner only after he was elected governor.

Bill says: President Carter appointed Hillary to the Legal Services Board of Directors and she became its chairman.

The facts are: The appointment was in exchange for Bill’s support for Carter in his 1980 primary against Ted Kennedy. Hillary became chairman in a coup in which she won a majority away from Carter’s choice to be chairman.

Bill says: She served on the board of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

The facts are:

 • The Lyubov Orlova (shown here) was seized in St. John's, Newfoundland, in 2010 because of a financial dispute between the ship's Russian owners and a charter company. (LiveScience / YouTube Screengrab)
The Russian "ghost ship" that was last heard from in March has all but vanished—but a flurry of reports now have it on a potential collision-course with Britain's coast, and packed with rats.
Experts are warning that the Lyubov Orlova could be headed that way in the wake of recent storms, reports the Daily Record, though all reports are careful to point out that the ship's current position is unknown.
It's been quite the mysterious sail for the Lyubov Orlova, which was being towed from Canada to the Dominican Republic to be scrapped when a tug line broke last January, setting it adrift.
It was spotted some 1,300 nautical miles off off Ireland's west coast about a month later, then disappeared, but signals were received on March 12 and 23.
The signals are thought to come from lifeboats that detached from the ship and hit the water, and while people have speculated that the 328-foot vessel sank, the Independent reports that some lifeboat signals remain unactivated, indicating it is still afloat.
The stomach-turning part of the reports: Hundreds of rats are believed to be populating the ship, and while the Independent calls them "disease-ridden," most other reports use the word "cannibal," pointing out that they've likely been eating each other for survival.
One salvage hunter on the hunt for the ship tells the Sun, "If I get aboard I'll have to lace everywhere with poison." Click for more on the ghost ship

Former Egyptian MP Mustafa Bakri Threatens To Massacre Americans In Egypt If Al-Sisi Is Assassinated; We Have 90 Million Ticking Bombs. If Anything Happens To General Al-Sisi, No American Will Be Left On The Face Of The Earth - Not In Egypt, Nor Anywhere Else

In a TV debate, which aired on CBC TV on January 13, 2014, Egyptian journalist and former MP Mustafa Bakri said that a plot to assassinate General Al-Sisi was being concocted in Egypt and abroad, and that if it was carried out, there would be "a revolution of massacring Americans in the streets." Bakri further said: "Obama personally will be held accountable, and we will slaughter the criminals and the traitors here in their homes."
Following are excerpts:
Click here to view this clip on MEMRI TV

Mustafa Bakri: "Today, I saw a statement by a Turkish military officer, who called upon Erdoğan to attack the United Arab Emirates. Erdoğan answered that this was not the right time. Now is not the time. The reason for all this was that the UAE took a clear stand in support of the Egyptian revolution.
"This is the level of the plot conspired against everyone.
"The same goes for Saudi Arabia. I think that the Americans will never forgive Saudi Arabia for the clear position in support of Egypt taken by the Saudi king, who also accused the forces that purport to be fighting terrorism to be supporting that same terrorism.
"I am sure that the Americans will not forgive these courageous positions, and I believe that the U.S. rapprochement with Iran is partly an attempt to settle the score with the Gulf states.
"Today, Obama warns Congress, the U.N. Security Council, and the whole world not to impose any new sanctions against Iran. [...]
"What frightens me, 'Imad, and I say this openly, is that there is a plot to assassinate Al-Sisi, and the security forces know this full well. This plot is being concocted not only in Egypt, but also abroad. [...]
"They are implementing the same scenario as with Benazir Bhutto. [Sis's assassination will occur] when there can be no new presidential candidates, so the elections will have to be between the 2-3 remaining candidates..."
Former MB member Tharwat Al-Kharbawy: "If this happens, the Egyptian people will not allow elections to be held."
Mustafa Bakri: "That is another matter... But the international community..."
Tharwat Al-Kharbawy: "In such a case, there would be a third revolution..."
Mustafa Bakri: "Yes, but this time around, it will be a revolution of massacring Americans in the streets. No one will let the Americans escape. When the Egyptian people roars, it will have no enemies other than Obama, the Americans, and their lackeys.
"Let anyone dare lay a finger on General Al-Sisi... All the Egyptians will brandish their weapons then, and we will slaughter the traitors and the criminals in their homes.
"Let this serve as a warning to all. We shall enter their homes and massacre them one by one. We will not allow such a crime to be committed against a man whom we believe has saved this country. This warning is directed to all – from Obama to his lowliest collaborator from the terrorist organization [i.e., the Muslim Brotherhood] here.
"They should understand this message very well and know that the Egyptians are tough."
TV host: "I won't ask you for your sources, but are you sure of what you are saying?"
Mustafa Bakri: "Absolutely!"
Former Egyptian General Mohsen Hifzi: "It's a plot. I'm 100% sure."
Mustafa Bakri: "There is a complete plan to liquidate General Al-Sisi, so that he does not become president of Egypt, because he is bound to turn into a new Abd Al-Nasser. This is the way they see this.
"Obama was defeated, and he took it personally. Obama was defeated, and the New Middle East plan has been stopped. The Arab countries have become somewhat secure at the moment, and they believe that by bringing Al-Sisi to his knees or by killing him, they can implement their plan throughout the Arab world. [...]
"We have 90 million ticking bombs. If anything happens to General Al-Sisi, no American will be left on the face of the Earth – not in Egypt, nor anywhere else. We shall not keep silent.
"Obama personally will be held accountable, and we will slaughter the criminals and the traitors here in their homes.
"They had better understand this message full well." [...]

Florida Muslim Arrested After 16-Year-Old Teen Girl is Found, Pregnant and “Fully Committed to Muslim Faith”

by Pamela Geller
Sezer Gok Tiffany Snook
I understand that under Islamic law (sharia), a 16-year-old girl is an old coot, but this is America, still.
Tiffany Snook was reported missing on Nov. 12. Police now believe that she was with Sezer Gok, 40.
At some point they were married in a Muslim religious ceremony, a Pasco sheriff’s report states.
In what state was this sharia marriage made? The few states that allow a 16-year-old girl to get married only do so with parental consent. Why did the mosque perform the marriage? Why didn’t the mosque call authorities?
He groomed her and took advantage of a young stupid girl.
“Man arrested after Illinois runaway teen is found in Wesley Chapel,” Tampa Times, January 23, 2014 (thanks to Creeping)
WESLEY CHAPEL — They met at the mall in her small central Illinois hometown. He came from Turkey and ran a kiosk in Bloomington. It was either June or July last year, detectives say.
She was 16. He was 39.
Tiffany kept her relationship with Sezer Gok a secret from her parents, authorities said. She began working for him. He named a new kiosk for her: Tiffany’s Balloons.
Tiffany and Gok must have planned to leave, said Bloomington police Detective Tom Rena, because it all happened so fast. Gok had been working days, if not weeks, in advance to close down each of his kiosks. She left high school and family behind.
Before anyone even knew, they were gone.
”By the time we caught up with them leaving,” Rena said, “we were about 10 steps behind them.”
Tiffany was reported missing Nov. 12. Evidence showed she left willingly with Gok, Rena said.
At some point they were married in a Muslim religious ceremony, a Pasco sheriff’s report states. They first stopped in Pittsburgh. There, the report states, Gok read a news story alleging he abducted Tiffany. He got nervous and took her to Tampa.
Tiffany never told her parents where she was, Rena said. During the two months she was missing, she called them once, just before Christmas.
Back in Bloomington, Rena worked with U.S. marshals to track Gok’s location. The couple moved to Glenwood Mobile Home Park on Habersham Lane east of Tampa. Then on Jan. 12, they rented a house at 5909 Azure Drive in Wesley Chapel.
Rena would not reveal investigative techniques, but marshals located Gok. Authorities went to the home at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and arrested him.
Investigators interviewed Tiffany, now 17, who told them she was seven weeks pregnant with Gok’s child and that she was “fully committed to Muslim faith,” said sheriff’s spokeswoman Melanie Snow.
Tiffany was taken into child custody. Her father has since picked her up, Rena said.
Gok, now 40, remained in the Land O’Lakes jail Wednesday on charges of interfering with custody and sheltering a runaway. More charges are pending against him in Illinois.
U.S. Immigration and Customs had placed a hold on his release.
No one was home Wednesday afternoon at the light pink Wesley Chapel home with “Princess” etched into the door knocker.
A silver Jeep Cherokee with Illinois plates, listed as Gok’s vehicle by Bloomington police, sat in the driveway. Duct tape covered a gash in the SUV’s rear end.
On the driveway, closest to the rear passenger side of the SUV, lay a pair of girl’s jeans, still folded, and a make-up case.

Weekly News Wrap-Up 1.24.14

By Greg Hunter’s
Syria is the top story. Before the second round of Geneva peace talks even started, Iran was uninvited to the talks by the U.N. It was because Iran would not agree that the President of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, should be removed as part of any peace plan. The Syrian peace talks have turned into a name calling event with both sides posturing. This is why the headlines say things like peace talks get off to “Belligerent Start.” The Syrian Foreign Minister says, “The West claims to fight terrorism publically while they feed it privately.” Secretary of State John Kerry says there “is no way possible in the imagination” that Syrian president Assad should be allowed to stay in power. Kerry said Assad is “. . . a one-man super-magnet for terrorism.” Kerry and the Obama White House have long said Assad should go. Russian President Vladimir Putin cut a deal last year to remove Syria’s chemical weapons, and war was averted. Now, the U.S. is, once again, saying Assad should be removed from power as part of any peace plan. The Russians and the Iranians are not going along, and that means more war. The U.S. is considering more funding for the rebels who are, in part, al-Qaeda. The peace talks are solidifying the fact that more war is coming, and it will likely intensify. This shows that after 130,000 were killed in the bloody Syrian civil war, there is no end in sight.
Meanwhile, Israel stopped an attack on our embassy there. This was a foiled al-Qaeda bombing plan to blow up the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv. Could someone explain the bad al Qaeda that wants to blow us up and the good al Qaeda that the U.S. wants to arm in Syria?
It also looks like the deal to curtail Iran’s nuclear program is on shaky ground. One CNN anchor called it “a train wreck.” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani told CNN “not under any circumstances” would it destroy key parts of its nuclear program, such as thousands of centrifuges. This is a key component of enriching uranium needed for nuclear weapons. Iran has always maintained its nuclear program is for the peaceful production of energy. Many countries in the West, including the U.S., don’t buy that claim. It looks like there is no real deal to curtail Iran’s nuclear program, and that is going to mean trouble. Both Saudi Arabia and Israel are very upset by the Iranian nuclear program. They fear it could upset the balance of power in the Middle East. Both countries have made threats against Iran. Just this week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “Iran’s military nuclear program must be stopped, and Iran’s military nuclear program will be stopped.” Netanyahu did not say how it would be stopped, but the prospects of a peaceful solution are not looking good.
Obama Care is in big trouble, and it might take down some big insurance companies. Moody’s is downgrading the outlook for the health insurance industry because of Obama Care. Moody’s says, “If these things don’t work, it may have a longer and more detrimental effect on the industry. . . ” Meanwhile, Accenture has been brought in to fix It has to be done by mid-March. Some industry experts say that a half billion lines of code need to be fixed or added. If this is not done, one government document says the “healthcare law will be jeopardized.” How do you think the potential failure of Obama Care could affect the debt ceiling debate? You think the Obama Administration will need some cash to keep Obama Care and insurance companies solvent? You think the Republicans in Congress are going to give it to him? What a mess. This could not only bankrupt some insurance companies, but also the country.
There is no wonder why the President’s poll numbers are at fresh all-time lows. This is why the President and the Democratic Party want to change the conversation to “income inequality.” According to the polls, that is way down on the totem poll of priorities. The economy and jobs are one and two for the majority of Americans. You want to do something about income inequality? Stop the $35 billion a month of Fed banker bailouts. That is more than $400 billion a year! You want to really help people? Fix the economy. Don’t just keep giving us spin such as mind control headlines that use the word “recovery” when there is no real recovery.
Why isn’t the main stream media doing real stories such as continued money laundering by big banks? Whistleblower Everett Stern says money laundering for terrorists is still going on at HSBC. He blew the whistle last year, and HSBC bank paid a nearly $2 billion fine last year for laundering money for drug cartels and terrorists. Where is the NSA when it comes to this? You launder money for terrorists and you get fined? No jail time? No felony charges? Doesn’t the NSA call Edward Snowden a traitor? Hasn’t he been charged with multiple felonies? Isn’t laundering money for terrorists treason?

‘Obama’ Filmmaker Indicted for Campaign Fraud

Dinesh DSouza 2016 Obamas America

D'Souza allegedly contributed excessive funds to a U.S. Senate campaign

Dinesh D’Souza, director of the 2012 documentary “2016: Obama’s America,” was arrested and indicted for campaign finance fraud on Thursday, Reuters reports.
The conservative filmmaker and best-selling author allegedly contributed $20,000 in 2012 in the name of others to Republican Wendy Long’s U.S. Senate campaign. Long ran for Hillary Clinton’s vacated Senate seat, but lost to Kirsten Gillibrand.
Federal law in 2012 limited election campaign contributions to $5,000 per person per candidate. Breaking this law is punishable to two years in prison.
“As we have long said, this Office and the FBI take a zero tolerance approach to corruption of the electoral process,” Preet Bharara, the U.S. Attorney for Manhattan, said in a statement.
Attorney Benjamin Brafman told The Hollywood Reporter that his client “did not act with any corrupt or criminal intent whatsoever … at worst this was an act of misguided friendship by D’Souza.”
D’Souza, President Ronald Reagan’s former policy adviser, helmed “2016,” the second most popular political doc in U.S. history. The film, which criticized President Barack Obama’s presidency, banked $33 million at the box office. D’Souza’s upcoming film “America” hits theaters on July 4.

Truth-or-Fiction is still looking into all these incidents. In many instances, there is no evidence of wrongdoing. But, it sure does seem dangerous to be too closely associated with the Clintons. Seems like an awfully lot of coincidences. Check out Truth-or-Fiction and judge for yourself.

Subject: The Many Clinton Body Bags

I had heard of a few of these, didn't realize it might be such a long list!
ure makes one wonder though.

The Many Clinton Body Bags

"What does it matter???"

This is important for those who are just now becoming aware and concerned about your federal government and those who have been running it. Some of us remember clearly.

The Clinton Body Bags ~ Purely Coincidental?
