75 UN troops flee into Israel to escape Syrian rebels

Israel confirms entry of UNDOF peacemakers across Golan border; al-Nusra rebels attack troops near DMZ; Irish troops extricate some Fijian colleagues

Seventy-five UNDOF peacekeepers in the Golan Heights fled Syrian territory for the Israeli-controlled Golan on Saturday after their positions were attacked by rebel forces.
An Israeli military spokesman confirmed that a number of UN peacekeepers entered Israel. He spoke on condition of anonymity. Channel 2 said 75 UN troops had crossed the borders, after two UN positions on the Syrian side of the border were targeted by al-Nusra rebel forces.
Earlier in the day, the Philippine defense chief said that Filipino peacekeepers in the Golan Heights were attacked by Syrian rebels, who are also holding dozens of Fijian troops hostage.
Clashes continued in the area through Saturday.
Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin told reporters Saturday in a series of text messages that Filipino troops manning one UN encampment had been “extricated,” while soldiers in another encampment were “now under attack.”
Asked if there was a fresh firefight Saturday, Gazmin replied: “Yes.”
Military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Ramon Zagala later told AFP that “there is still an ongoing standoff but there was a firefight earlier today.”
“All our troops are safe,” he said.
Activists and officials confirmed to AP that clashes had erupted between the al-Qaida-linked Syrian rebels and UN peacekeepers, after the militants surrounded their encampment.
They also said other UN peacekeepers were able to flee from a different encampment that that was also surrounded by rebels of the Nusra Front, al-Qaida’s Syrian affiliate.
The clashes came after Syrian rebel groups, including the Nusra Front, overran the Quneitra crossing — located on the frontier between Syrian and Israeli controlled parts of the Golan Heights — on Wednesday, seizing 44 Fijian peacekeepers.
The Nusra Front also surrounded the nearby Rwihana and Breiqa encampments, where other UN peacekeepers were holed up.
Saturday’s gunbattle began early in the morning at the Rwihana base some 1.5 miles (2.3 kilometers) from Quneitra, where 40 Filipino peacekeepers were surrounded by Nusra fighters who were ordering them to surrender, said Rami Abdurrahman of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Abdurrahman, whose information comes from a network of activists throughout Syria, said he was not aware of any fatalities among the 40 Filipino peacekeepers in the Rwihana encampment as sporadic fighting continued throughout the day.
The 35 Filipino UN peacekeepers at the Breiqa encampment were extracted on Saturday morning, with the assistance of Irish peacekeepers who rushed to the scene, said officials.
The Irish UN peacekeeper battalion, which is tasked with emergency responses, evacuated all the Filipino UN peacekeepers on Saturday morning, said a military official.
He said there was no shooting involved, and no injuries. He said that the Irish battalion also evacuated another base on Friday but provided no further details.
Gazmin confirmed that peacekeepers from his country were “extricated.”
The Nusra Front has recently seized hostages to exchange for prisoners detained in Syria and Lebanon.
The situation of the peacekeepers, tasked with monitoring a 1974 disengagement accord between Syria and Israel, remains “very, very fluid,” the UN secretary-general’s spokesman, Stephane Dujarric, told reporters Friday at the UN headquarters in New York.
The UN said in a statement that it had received assurances from credible sources that the 44 Fijian peacekeepers seized Wednesday “are safe and in good health.”
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the detention of the Fijians and called for their immediate release.
The UN mission, known as UNDOF, has 1,223 troops from six countries: Fiji, India, Ireland, Nepal, Netherlands and the Philippines.
Various rebel groups have been engaged in intense fighting with the Syrian military in and near the Golan Heights.
Also Saturday, a Syrian activist released a video showing extremists from the Islamic State group opening fire and killing dozens of men stripped down to their underwear.
The men in the video were likely those who were captured after the extremists overran a Syrian airfield on Sunday; Syrian soldiers who were stuck behind front lines after the northeastern Tabqa air base fell to the Islamic State group.
The video, released by an activist who uses the name Abu Ibrahim Raqqawi, corresponded with The Associated Press reporting of the event. It matched a series of other videos that were released since Wednesday. One video showed the men being held in a concrete-floor room; another showed the men forced to march through a barren landscape in their underwear, herded like sheep. Another showed their seemingly lifeless bodies in piles on the ground.
The British-based Observatory earlier said around 120 captive government troops from Tabqa were killed near the base.
There was no immediate comment from the Syrian government.
The Islamic State group uses violence and images of violence, from mass-killings to beheadings, to instill fear in its opponents and win recruits as it seeks to expand a proto-state it has carved out in Syria and Iraq.
Earlier Saturday, a spokeswoman for President Benigno Aquino said he was “keeping a close watch” on the fate of the troops who were serving as part of the peacekeeping force on the Golan Heights.
The head of Filipino troops on UN missions Colonel Roberto Ancan said in Manila on Friday that “we can use deadly force in defense of the UN facilities.”
Meanwhile, Fiji military officials confirmed Saturday that they no longer know the whereabouts of the 44 peacekeepers captured by al-Qaeda-linked Syrian rebels in the Golan Heights.
“Their whereabouts at this stage, unfortunately, I cannot confirm,” Brigadier Mosese Tikoitoga told reporters after speaking to the head of the UN team negotiating for their release.
“They confirmed that our men are safe and they are all well. [But] they have been moved to a location out of the bombardment range of any security forces or the Syrian security forces.
“It is out of the UN territory. But again it’s the word of the group. We’ve got no verification what so ever, no communication but we’re only relaying the message that was delivered to us by the negotiators.”
Australia’s foreign minister on Saturday condemned the detention of the peacekeepers.
“Australia condemns the detention … of 44 Fiji peacekeepers in the Golan Heights by armed groups,” Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said in a statement. “As a member of the UN Security Council, Australia demands the unconditional and immediate release of all the detained United Nations peacekeepers.”

The situation of the peacekeepers, whose mission monitors a 1974 disengagement accord between Syria and Israel, remained “very, very fluid,” the UN secretary-general’s spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters Friday at the UN headquarters in New York.
The UN said in a statement it has received assurances from credible sources that the Fijian peacekeepers “are safe and in good health.”
The statement added that they had been informed “the intention behind holding the peacekeepers was to remove them from an active battlefield to a safe area for their own protection.”

A very important read: ISIS sd the New Flagship Terror Threat FROM DEVVY KIDD

Joel Skousen, if folks don't know, has been following domestic and geopolitical 'games' for decades. He knows what he's talking about. Joel's web site is World Affairs Brief:

His weekly newsletter is excellent and worth the small price of subscription. He does allow reprints of limited material as long as credit is given. This is an excerpt from his August 29th edition:
ISIS sd the New Flagship Terror Threat

Whenever a relatively new terror organization starts bragging about how it’s going to take over the entire Muslim world, and simultaneously threatens Jerusalem, Europe and the US, you can bet it’s either the work of an irrational braggart or a propaganda stunt by Western intelligence agencies to give new urgency to the flagging and phony war on terror that has for so long held the West in its Machiavellian grip. Their claims are so far-fetched that they could only be useful at spreading fear among the British and American people who are once again being called upon to support a new war on terror. There is another specific reason, however, for western funding ISIS as a new enemy—it gives the US its long-awaited excuse to get back into the Syrian conflict, and it won’t be to “help Assad” or get rid of ISIS.

All the regular neocon Republicans like John McCain and Lindsey Graham were hitting the talk shows last Sunday pushing for the US military to attack ISIS in Syria:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday called for President Obama to target leaders of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Syria after the beheading of an American journalist last week.

The James Foley beheading itself was a mostly-staged event (with death taking place off-screen) to horrify the American public and create support for the notion of a wider war on ISIS. Virtually every media report about building the case for war mentions it.

McCain’s rhetoric is particularly hypocritical in light of his trip to Syria in May of 2013 to discuss giving arms and support to Syrian rebels. One researcher noticed that one of the men meeting with McCain looks just like Ibrahim al-Badri (a.k.a. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader and commander of the Islamic State in Iraq, otherwise known as ISIS). Pictures tweeted by McCain himself show him talking with rebels including a man who matches al-Badri’s mugshot on Wikipedia before growing the prominent beard—a beard that, like bin-Laden’s, makes it easy for dumbed-down Americans to identify the terrorist figurehead (or look-alike as needed).

Like Bin Laden, I suspect Al-Baghdadi is a paid agent of the CIA or McCain would never have been set up to meet with him and others. They are all smiling—certainly no enemies of the US in reality. The NY Times joined in rehearsing the widespread calls for going into Syria.

The Obama administration is debating a more robust intervention in Syria, including possible American airstrikes, in a significant escalation of its weeks-long military assault on the Islamic extremist group that has destabilized neighboring Iraq and killed an American journalist.

But that would be a violation of Syrian sovereignty were the US to intrude without permission. And, apparently, the US has no intention of asking permission. As Fox News pointed out ,

Syria's government on Monday demanded the Obama administration seek permission before launching any airstrikes on its territory against Islamic State targets, while the State Department indicated it had no intention of seeking "the approval of the Syria.”

And that’s because the US wants to do more than merely attack ISIS. A military incursion into Syria would be very complex. The US doesn’t want to help Assad and yet picking and choosing who to attack among the various rebels forces in Syria—which the US has been financing (including ISIS)—is fraught with problems. Who is really moderate and who is not? I don’t think any rebel group is moderate. If anyone is playing the moderate stabilizing role, it’s Assad.

The ultimate US objective in Syria is to remove Bashar al Assad and topple his pro-Russian government so that Israel can finally get the green light to attack Iran without fear of Syrian missile retaliation. In some way the US is conniving to use the need to attack ISIS in Syria as a path toward controlling Syria and taking down Assad.

There are many devious ways in which the US can assist the Syrian rebels while playing as if they are attacking ISIS in Syria. For example, because of the difficulties of identifying aircraft as “friend or foe” (Syria flies Russian aircraft) the US could warn Syrian planes from flying sorties against the rebels, while the US is engaging what they say are ISIS targets in Syria. This will assist the “other” rebels in getting the upper hand over Assad.

The US could also use the excuse of ISIS capturing the Tabqa airbase as an excuse to bomb the remaining MIG-21 jets Syria had to leave there, along with a corresponding supply of air to air armaments. I don’t think ISIS has any access to trained MIG pilots, so they aren’t much use to them, except for bragging rights, but the US might destroy them just to make sure Assad is permanently deprived of his MIGs.

ISIS forces also captured some hand-held anti-aircraft missiles which are a threat to any aircraft in the region. Capturing Tabqa (the last government stronghold in the Raqqa province) allows ISIS to protect its supply sources from Turkey. Here’s how the NY Times presents the difficulties facing Obama’s decision on invading Syria:

As the president considers airstrikes in Syria against the group...seeking a congressional imprimatur remains a politically tricky undertaking. It is not just that many Democrats and even some Republicans are wary about endorsing a new American military venture. The White House is also wrestling with how to define the president’s war-making authority in a way that does not undermine his claim last year that he had finally taken the United States off a permanent war footing.

We always knew that last claim wasn’t true and neither are the other claims the president makes

Behind The Smoke Curtain:

The Pentagon Attacked Itself on 9/11

Evidence and Expert Witness Testimony

Toronto International Hearings on the Events of September 11, 2001

Written by  Barbara Honegger, M.S.

Sept. 9, 2011

This paper presents compelling evidence that the central fact of the Pentagon attack on September 11, 2001, is the same as at the World Trade Center: inside-the-building explosives which no foreign terrorists could have had the access to plant, making the official narrative of what happened on 9/11 impossible. Physical evidence and eyewitness testimony converge to show that internal as well as external explosions went off just after 9:30 a.m., when the official narrative claims Flight 77 was still dozens of miles from Washington. The official narrative claims AA77 didn't approach the building until 9:37:46, or almost 9:38. These primary explosions, also, went off at locations far removed from the official story "plane penetration path" in Wedge One, including in Wedge Two significantly further north and in the two innermost rings far beyond the alleged "exit" hole in the middle or C Ring.

The FBI knows that explosives are central to the real 9/11 plot

The FBI's code names for terrorist investigations known to have been carried out by means of bombs or explosives end in BOM[B] -- for example, the acronym for its Oklahoma City bombing investigation is OKBOM.1 It is therefore highly significant that the official FBI code name for the investigation of the September 11 attacks is PENTTBOM, which stands for Pentagon Twin Towers Bombing. In this acronym, the abbreviation for Pentagon comes first, followed by that for the Twin Towers, with the notable absence of an abbreviation for Pennsylvannia. Robert Mueller, who was FBI director on 9/11, confirmed this to Time magazine: "The [FBI's] SIOC [Strategic Intelligence Operations Center] filled to capacity on 9/11 and remained that way through PENTTBOM, the FBI's cryptonym for 'Pentagon,' 'Twin Towers' and 'Bombing'], reconfirming Newsweek's report in the immediate wake of the attacks.2 Despite the clear inference that the 9/11 investigation, the largest in the agency's history,3 was focused on bombs or explosives, FBI briefers lied to the "Jersey Girls," whose husbands were killed in the Twin Towers, when they asked why the investigation was called PENTTBOM. They were told that it was because "all the FBI's investigations [code names] end in BOM."4 This is provably false; even the acronym for the agency's investigation of the 9/11-related anthrax letter attacks is AMERITRAX, not AMERIBOM. Further evidence that the FBI knew the core of the 9/11 attacks was bombs or explosives is that the acronyms for its investigations of prior major terrorist attacks known to have been carried out by bombs did end in BOM(B) -- for instance, OKBOMB for the Oklahoma City bombing.4a The truth is, the highest levels of the U.S. government know why the investigation of the Sept. 11 attacks was called PENTTBOM[B], have from the very beginning, and made a conscious decision to keep the American people, including more than 6,000 victims' family members, not only in the dark but actively deceived about what really happened to cause the mass murder of nearly 3,000 of our fellow citizens.

The Pentagon expected an attack on 9/11

Top Defense Department officials, including Secretary Donald Rumsfeld himself, not only expected but were preparing for some kind of attack on the Pentagon on 9/11. Shortly after the attacks, Newsweek reported that on Sept. 10, the day before, "a group of top Pentagon officials suddenly canceled travel plans for the next morning, apparently because of security concerns,"4b and on Sept. 11 Associated Press reported that "the Pentagon attack came [only] minutes after Rumsfeld predicted [having already learned of the attacks on the two World Trade Center towers], 'There will be another event.'"5 The source for Rumsfeld's "prediction" was Rep. Christopher Cox, who had been meeting with him in his office before the Pentagon attack. In another version, Cox reported that the Secretary had said, "Believe me, this isn't over yet. There's going to be another attack, and it could be us [the Pentagon]."4c Even earlier, before the first attack in New York City, at a breakfast Rumsfeld had called with his senior-most military officers and top civilian Pentagon officials including Deputy Secretary of Defense Wolfowitz and the military service chiefs, he "predicted" that a shocking world event would occur in the near future;4d then just as the breakfast was breaking up, the first WTC tower was hit.

The Pentagon expected an attack with explosives on 9/11

High-level officials ordered a search for explosives at the Pentagon Metro stop, where many employees arrive to enter the building, just over two hours before the attack on 9/11. Army auditor Michael Nielsen and two colleagues on temporary duty assignment from Fort Monmouth, as well as Army document specialist April Gallop, saw bomb-sniffing Defense Protective Service dog teams and their handlers in the Pentagon Metro stop adjacent to the building at approximately 7:30 a.m.15 According to the Washington Post's online coverage on Sept. 11, the Pentagon Metro stop was shut down that morning "after the explosion" and was the only D.C. area station to close on 9/11. Nielsen said that he didn't see any dog teams in the Metro stop before or after 9/11, just on that morning. As dogs search for bombs and not planes, some kind of attack with explosives was apparently anticipated. Indeed, shortly after the explosion in his building, Secretary Rumsfeld told Sam Donaldson of ABC News that his first thought was that a bomb had gone off, and when Donaldson asked, "What did you think it was?" Rumsfeld replied, "A bomb?"

Reports of primary Pentagon explosions throughout the chain of command

As detailed by Professor Graeme MacQueen at the Toronto 9/11 Hearings, more than 100 firefighters, first responders and other eye- and earwitnesses heard and felt explosions inside the WTC Towers in New York City, including at least two dozen reporting massive basement-level explosions in WTC 1 before the first plane hit more than ninety floors above. Similarly, Pentagon eye- and earwitnesses gave testimonies to official Defense Department historians and the mainstream media that they experienced massive explosions at the Pentagon, some more than five minutes before Flight 77 is held by the government's narrative to have come anywhere near the building.
The 9/11 Commission staff report on its interview with Navy Capt. Charles Joseph "Joe" Leidig, acting deputy director of operations for the Pentagon's National Military Command Center on 9/11, notes, "He [Leidig] had no awareness of AA 77 coming back to Washington. His first awareness was a call from the SECDEF's [Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld's] three-star aide who asked if he felt the explosion in the building, and asked Leidig to investigate whether it might be a terrorist attack [emphasis added]."6
Many other military officers and enlisted personnel inside the building also experienced and reported explosions. Lt. Nancy McKeown, who was in the Naval Command Center on the first floor of the second-in D Ring, said, "It sounded like a series of explosions going off... It sounded like a series of bombs exploding, similar to firecrackers when you light them and you just get a series going off." This is essentially identical to firefighters' descriptions of preplaced explosives going off in the World Trade Center towers in New York City on 9/11. McKeown yelled "Bomb!" when she heard and felt a major explosion, after which tiles fell from her office ceiling.7 Lt. Col. Thurman, who was on the second floor of this same second-in D Ring said, "To me, it didn't seem like a plane. To me, it seemed like it was a bomb. Being in the military, I have been around grenade, artillery explosions. It was a two-part explosion to me. It seemed like there was a percussion blast that blew me kind of backwards in my cubicle to the side. And then it seemed as if a massive explosion went off at the same time." Army Lt. Col. Victor Correa, who was on the second floor in the Army Personnel area just above the alleged impact point, said, "We thought it was some kind of explosion, that somehow someone got in there and planted bombs because we saw these holes."8 John Yates, a security manager for the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs who was in the same area as Correa just above the alleged impact point, said, "There was no noise. I mean, I did not hear a plane. Just suddenly the room just exploded, and I was blown through the air."9 Even a local mayor who was at the Pentagon that morning had a similar experience, reported by the Frederick (Maryland) News-Post. Thurmont Mayor Marty Burns "was leaning against an office doorway when an explosion rocked the Pentagon...Pentagon employees assumed it was a bomb... 'Where's the next bomb?' Burns and his Pentagon colleagues wondered. Even outside the building, Burns saw no indication that a plane had caused the [internal] damage."10 Lt. Col. Brian Birdwell, who had just come out of a restroom off Corridor 4 in the vicinity of te fourth-in B Ring, said, "I heard the sound of a very loud explosion. In my number of years in the artillery community, I hadn't heard anything that loud. I thought it was a bomb."11 And standing outside the Navy Annex about three football fields' distance from the building, Terry Morin recalled, "I saw the flash and subsequent fireball rise approximately 200 feet above the Pentagon. There was a large explosion noise and the low frequency sound echo that comes with this type of sound. Associated with that was the increase in air pressure, momentarily, like a small gust of wind. For those formerly in the military, it sounded like a 2,000-pound bomb going off..."12 Though Morin had just experienced a large plane fly overhead and to his right along the south side of the Navy Annex, he nevertheless described what the official story alleges to have been an impact, which he acknowledged could not see, with bomb-related references.
The author conducted an interview with the above-mentioned Ft. Monmouth Army financial auditor Michael Nielsen, who had been in the Army financial management area on 9/11 only minutes before the explosion, part of the building soon to be among the most destroyed in the attack. He had just returned to his temporary duty office on the ground floor near the building's cafeteria when he heard and felt a massive explosion. Immediately afterwards, he said, hundreds of Pentagon personnel ran by him down the corridor and out the exit, yelling "Bombs!," "A bomb went off!," "It was a bomb!"
Even the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Hugh Shelton, the highest ranking military officer in the U.S. military chain of command, experienced what had to have been the residue of explosives. On page 434 of his biography Without Hesitation, General Shelton noted that upon his arrival at the Pentagon he was struck by an overpowering smell of cordite, a substance used in bombs that has a very distinct and different odor from burning jet fuel. "The smell of cordite was overwhelming [emphasis added]," he said. Pentagon worker Don Perkal told MSNBC, "People shouted in the corridor outside [my office] that a bomb had gone off. Even before stepping outside, I could smell the cordite. Then I knew explosives had been set off somewhere."13 Department of Defense attorney Gilah Goldsmith reported that immediately after hearing "an incredible whomp noise," she "saw a huge black cloud of smoke" that "smelled like cordite or gunsmoke."14
Army witness April Gallop, who experienced a massive explosion as she pressed the 'on' button on her computer in Room 1E517 in Wedge Two off Corridor 5 more than 100 feet north of the official story alleged impact point (see Fig. 1, below), also smelled cordite and thought that it was a bomb. "Being in the Army with the training I had, I know what a bomb sounds and acts like, especially the aftermath," and it sounded and acted "like a bomb," Gallop told the author in an under-oath videotaped interview.15 She also restated this in a formal court filing and in a videotaped interview with former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura for a TruTV episode on the Pentagon attack aired December 17, 2010.16 The force of the explosion and/or the impact of debris falling upon her stopped her wrist watch at or just after 9:30,17 which is almost 8 minutes before the official story claims Flight 77 came anywhere near the building. Though cordite produces a strong detonation shock wave, it is cool burning, which would explain why Gallop experienced a major explosion and yet remain unburned (see Fig. 2, second below).

Above, graphic from the Pentagon Building Performance Report showing the boundary between Wedge 1, where the official story claims a 757 impacted at 9:37:46 at Column 14, and Wedge 2 to the left/north. This graphic depicts the false claim, proven by Gallop’s and other testimony, that almost all – the Building Performance Report claims 90 percent -- of the primary internal damage (white area) to the outer E Ring was only in Wedge 1.Fig. 1. april-gallop-on-pentagon-lawnFig. 2. Army survivor April Gallop rests on the Pentagon lawn after having lost one of her shoes while escaping the destruction from an explosion that went off near her desk in Wedge 2 at just after 9:30. The official story claims that she exited through the alleged entrance point of a plane and through a raging inferno consuming over 11,000 gallons of remaining jet fuel, yet Gallop was unburned, including on the bottoms of her feet. Her infant son is being held by the man kneeling on the left.
In sworn videotaped testimony submitted by the author to the Toronto 9/11 Hearings, Gallop stated that there was no jet fuel and no fire on the floor as she walked out. "I had no jet fuel on me...I didn't smell any jet fuel...I didn't see any airplane seats. I didn't see any plane parts...I didn't see anything that would give me any idea that there was a plane [in the building]," she said under oath. As the explosion at or near her desk in Wedge Two was many minutes before and many dozens of feet from the alleged impact point in Wedge One [see Fig. 1, second above], they wouldn't, however, be expected. The only fires Gallop did see were "flames coming out of the computers" on desks around the perimeter of the large Army administrative area in the outer E Ring where she worked. In her original interview with an Army historian soon after the attack, Gallop said that her computer "blew." This was also experienced by other workers closer to the alleged plane impact point further south in Wedge One. As everything went black, witness Tracy Webb, whose office in 2E477 was on the second floor of the outer E ring off Corridor 4 effectively above the alleged impact point, also saw her computer suddenly "burst into flames."19

Pentagon wall clocks and April Gallop's wrist watch were stopped by primary explosions 5 to 8 minutes before the official story says Flight 77 even approached the building

Multiple, independently set electric or battery-operated wall clocks in areas of the Pentagon that sustained major damage -- including one outside the main building in the heliport fire house off the west wall -- were stopped by explosions shortly after 9:30, when a plane the official story claims was Flight 77 was still dozens of miles from the area. The Navy, whose Naval Command Center was destroyed by an explosion (see below), immediately posted a photo of one of these wall clocks, stopped at 9:31:40 (right-hand clock in Fig. 3, below) on an official DoD website, and the heliport firehouse clock, stopped at 9:32:30, is in the official 9/11 exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of American History (left-hand clock in Fig. 3, below).20 The photo caption on its website states that "the blast" from the Pentagon attack "knocked the heliport clock from the wall, freezing it at 9:32," and yet the official story claims that a plane didn't approach the building until almost 9:38.
>Fig. 3. Some of the west section Pentagon wall clocks stopped shortly after 9:30 on Sept. 11. consistent with the early media reports (see below). Clearly, if major violent event(s) caused destruction at the Pentagon shortly after 9:30, the official story that Flight 77 struck the building at 9:37:46 – almost eight minutes later -- cannot be the whole or even the most important part of what actually happened at the nation's primary military command center on Sept. 11.

Early press and media reports of the Pentagon attack time were correct

Before the Bush-Cheney administration settled on the official story that the Pentagon was attacked at 9:37:46, many of the early mainstream press reports on the time of the attack were accurate:
about 9:30 -- Reuters, reported 3:57 p.m. on 9/11/01
about 9:30 -- USA Today, reported 6:11 a.m. on 9/12/01
about 9:30 -- New York Times, reported on 9/12/01
shortly after 9:30 -- U.S. News and World Report, reported on 9/12/01

Preplaced explosives may have also triggered the E Ring outer wall collapse

Because they contain no definitive evidence of a plane approach before the sudden appearance of a fireball, the well known 'five frames' videotapes from parking lot two security cameras outside the west wall are actually clear evidence only for an explosion either at/in or outside the wall. Indeed, there is evidence that the later collapse of a portion of the outer E Ring wall may have also been due to preplaced explosives. The contractor hired to do an "autopsy" on the concrete on the structural support columns in the alleged plane penetration path including those supporting the outside wall, American Petrography Services, found temperatures so high and "concentrated for [such] a long period of time" in the portion of the building which later collapsed, that some of the concrete "turned to mush."21 The samples "that came from [the concrete of] columns near the [alleged] crash site" also had "a reddish hue and tints of bright orange...that could be seen with the naked eye" due to the presence of iron. This section of the building experienced "the most extreme conditions" that the president of the company "had ever seen," and though its analysis suggested that "the red and orange colors came from tiny amounts of iron in the rock that were oxidized in extreme heat," the iron could instead have been the product of intense heat generated by super-thermitic reactions like those known to have occurred in the steel columns of the World Trade Center towers in New York City, reactions which produce molten iron at temperatures exceeding 4000 degrees F. As the melting point of steel is 2,700 degrees F., 4,000 degres is far higher than needed to cut through the steel reinforcements inside the Pentagon columns that collapsed approximately 20 minutes after the attack as well as turn their concrete to "mush," whereas the far lower temperature of a quickly-burning jet-fuel-initiated office fires, of between 500 and 1,500 degrees F.22 – i.e., the official story at the Pentagon on 9/11, is not.

The columns on both sides of the alleged "plane entrance" hole are bowed outward from an internal explosion, not inward from an external impact

Strong evidence that internal explosion(s) at or near the alleged impact point of a plane on the outer wall of the Pentagon, rather than an actual plane or other external impactor, are the real cause of the damage to the outer west wall are photographs showing that the outer columns to both the right and the left of the alleged "impact" point are bowed out, and not in, as can be seen in Fig. 4 below.
columns-bent-outwardFig. 4. Outline of a properly scaled Boeing 757 superimposed over the alleged impact point at Column 14 in Wedge One, where the official story claims the fuselage of a 100-ton plane hit the outer west wall going at c. 556 mph. Outer columns 15, 16 and 17 are clearly bowed out, not in, resulting from a massive force acting on them from the inside out, not the outside in. A 757's right six-ton, 9-foot-diameter titanium-and-steel engine represented by the smaller circle, also, could not have struck Column 17, as shown in the overlay and as the official story holds, and the column still be in place, let alone bent upwards and outwards as it is. Had it been hit by such a heavy and massive object traveling such high speed, Column 17 would have been instantly destroyed after first being momentarily forced inward. Note also the large quantity of interior debris ejected outwards beyond the wall at the lower right. Photograph by Daryl Donley, Sept. 11, 2001.
Likewise, the remains of the outer wall columns to the north/left of the alleged impact point of a plane were also bowed out, and not in, as seen in Fig. 5 below, consistent again with massive outward pressure from an internal explosion, and not the result of an outside impact.
outwardly-bowed-rebarsFig. 5. Above, the alleged impact point of Flight 77 is denoted by the red circle at the center right. The outwardly-bowed rebars of the columns to its left or north can be seen just above and beyond the roof of the smoking car. photo-locating-pentagon-column-14Fig. 6. Above, composite photo of the alleged impact point of Flight 77 after the initial fire has been put out and before part of the outer E Ring wall collapsed from the center of the photo to the right. The alleged official story impact point is at and below the second-floor floor slab at Column 14, marked by the vertical column of the "T" on the second floor with missing windows to either side. As the photo makes clear, the second-floor floor slab, where the official story says a plane impacted, was not destroyed, making the official story physically impossible. This photo also puts to rest claims that a plane created an approximately 16-foot round "entrance" hole in the outer west wall. There is no round or even near-circular opening in the outer E Ring comparable to the almost-perfectly-round alleged "exit" hole in the third-in C Ring (see below).

Shaped charge explosives created the alleged C Ring "exit" hole

After studying photos of the alleged "exit" hole in the inner wall of the C Ring, such as in the official Pentagon release in Fig. 7 below, shaped charge explosives expert Michael Meyer concluded that the near-perfectly-round, clean-edged opening not only could not have been made by a plane or plane parts, but has the exact signature of having been created by shaped charge explosives. "It is physically impossible for the C Ring wall to have failed in a neat, clean circle like that [due to kinetic impact from a plane or plane parts; emphasis added]," he stated emphatically. A mechanical engineer who spent many years in aerospace, structural design and the design and use of shaped charges, Meyer published his analysis in "A Boeing 757 Did Not Hit the Pentagon."22a
pentagon-exit-holeFig. 7. Earliest known photo, by a DoD photographer, of the near-perfectly-round 9- to 12-foot diameter alleged "exit" hole in the inner wall of the third-in or 'middle' C Ring. Even if all or part of the debris were from a plane, which the Pentagon's own spokesman said it was not (see below text), the quantity is clearly too little and the density too low to have created the force required to explode out such an opening.
As for claims that any part of the debris seen in these photos was from a plane, the Pentagon's own Terry Mitchell of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs Audio/Visual Division, who was given early access to the A-E Drive between the C and B Rings into which the hole opens, showed reporters a photo like the above to the media at the Pentagon's September 15 news briefing and clearly explained: "This is a hole in [the C Ring]. There was a punch out. They suspect that this was where a part of the aircraft came through this hole, although I didn't see any evidence of the aircraft down there...This pile [of debris outside the hole] here is all Pentagon [i.e. no plane] metal. None of that is [from the] aircraft whatsoever. As you can see, they've punched a hole in here. This was punched by the rescue workers to clean it out." [emphases added] Confused reporters asked, "We're trying to figure out how it [even] came [got] into the building" and how far it penetrated,23 which Mitchell evaded answering. The circled and crossed "V" spray painted on both sides of the hole after it was made is, in fact, the international triage marking symbol for "confirmed dead Victims removed."24 The fact that a data file was downloaded from the alleged plane's Flight Data Recorder (FDR) four hours before the official story says that FDR was "found" just inside this C Ring hole25 and that the data fields that could have definitively identified it as having come from the plane that flew as Flight 77 on 9/11 -- or not -- were intentionally "zeroed out"26 proves that this most important piece of "wreckage" was manipulated and then planted to make it appear that part of a plane had penetrated to the C Ring. This was almost certainly done by the federal agency in charge of all evidence at the Pentagon, the FBI – the same FBI whose Sept. 11 investigation code name is PENTTBOM[B].
The Pentagon Building Performance Report as well as some 9/11 researchers have suggested that the C Ring "exit" hole could have been created by a quasi-liquid "slurry" of unburned jet fuel, wreckage and debris moving through the alleged "plane penetration path," but this is physically impossible. In addition to former NASA Dryden Flight Research Center/Research Engineering Division Chief Dwain Deets having shown that all possible straight paths between the alleged E Ring "impact" point and alleged C Ring "exit" hole had multiple steel-reinforced columns still standing, such a "slurry" would had to have reconstituted and refocused itself after being progressively shredded and dispersed from impacting multiple intervening columns, finally forming itself into a perfectly-focused cone of energy capable of exploding a near-perfectly-round hole in the inner C Ring wall. As shown by Fig. 8 from the Purdue University simulation study below, just the opposite is what would have occurred if the official story were true.
purdue-realistic-simulation-of-pentagon-impactFig. 8. Screen capture from the Purdue University simulation study showing the progressive shredding and dispersal a plane would undergo if it could have penetrated the newly-hardened outer E Ring wall specifically upgraded to withstand bomb blasts and high force lateral impacts.

The Pentagon itself initially said there were three "exit" holes, not just one

The Covert Origins of ISIS (Video)

"On every level, no matter how you cut it, ISIS is a Product of U.S. government's twisted and decrepitive foreign policy.
Now all of this may seem contradictory to you as you watch the drums of war against ISIS begin to beat louder and the air strikes against them are gradually widened.
Why would the U.S. help a terrorist organization get established, only to attack them later?
Well why did the CIA put Saddam Hussein in power in 1963?, Why did the U.S. government back Saddam in 1980 when he launched a war of aggression against Iran, even though they knew that he was using chemical weapons? Why did the U.S. fund and arm Islamic extremists in Afghanistan against the Soviets?
There's a pattern here if you look closely. This is a tried and true geopolitical strategy."

Secretary of Defense: ISIS Threat 'Imminent'
FBI and DHS Warn Police To Be Alert
Aug 23, 2014
Between Aug 18-21, 2014, AlertsUSA issued the following
related Flash messages to subscriber mobile devices:
8/21 - Sec of Defense warns ISIS poses threats greater than 9/11: "This is way beyond anything we have seen" ... "an imminent threat to every interest we have."
8/18 - Islamic State (ISIS) releases new video message threatening terror attacks on U.S. if airstrikes in Iraq continue. "We will drown all of you in blood."
What You Need To Know
On multiple occasions this week AlertsUSA subscribers were notified via text messages to their mobile devices regarding the terror threats made to this country by ISIS, also known simply as the Islamic State, as well as warnings regarding the seriousness of the threat made by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.
On Monday, following the resumption of airstrikes on Islamic State military positions, the organization posted a new internet video message warning the United States it will attack Americans "in any place" if the raids continue. The video, which was released by Reuters, shows a photograph of an American who was beheaded during the U.S. occupation of Iraq and also featured a statement which, in English, stated "we will drown all of you in blood".
On Tuesday, the Islamic State released another video showing the gruesome beheading of U.S. journalist James Foley. Militants in the video also threatened to kill another captive American if President Obama doesn't end military operations in Iraq. It is believed there are 20 western journalists being held captive between Syria and Iraq.
Amongst the list of demands made for Foley's safe return was the release of Afia Siddiqui, otherwise known as 'Lady al Qaeda.' An an M.I.T.-trained Pakistani neuroscientist, Siddiqui was on the FBI's Most Wanted list, arrested in Ghanzi, Afghanistan in 2008 and is serving 86 years in a Texas jail. At the time she was detained she had detailed plans on how to kill by spreading Ebola, plans for making a dirty bomb, documents detailing potential New York targets for attack as well as two pounds of deadly sodium cyanide hidden in her bag.
Solidarity with AQAP
On Wednesday, Al-Qaeda in Yemen, also known as al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), issued a public statement pledging ‘solidarity’ with the Islamic State, as well as offered ISIS fighters tips on how to avoid airstrikes..
Readers are reminded that al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula has been responsible for a number of attacks, both successful and unsuccessful, on the United States. These include the October, 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, the 2004 Khobar massacre, the 2009 Little Rock recruiting office shooting, the Christmas 2009 underwear bomber incident over Detroit, the November 2009 Fort Hood shooting and the 2010 cargo plane bomb plot. The U.S. considers AQAP the most active of the various al-Qaeda affiliates and in a word, this group has talent.
Defense Chiefs Define Magnitude of the Threat
On Thursday, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey, issued the gravest warnings to date on the threat posed by the Islamic State to U.S. citizens and interests.
According to Secretary of Defense Hagel:
According to Joint Chiefs Chairman General Martin Dempsey:
When General Dempsey was asked if ISIS could be taken down without a military incursion into Syria, where much of the organization remains based, his response was blunt:
ISIS Developing Means to ‘Blow Up’ a US City
Late this week a ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Sen. James Inhofe, said the Islamic State is working on the capability to wipe out an entire city inside the United States.
Quoting Sen. Inhofe:
We remind readers that these statements are not farfetched, particularly when considered in light of the near complete breakdown of security and deterrence along the U.S. Mexico border. If thousands of young Latino children can manage to cross trudge across Mexico and into the country, as is so widely reported by the mainstream media, it would also be a cakewalk for trained fighters and operatives to enter relatively unhindered.
So as to highlight the ease with which one can do so, just weeks ago Investigative filmmaker James O’Keefe released a new video of himself crossing the Rio Grande river into Texas dressed as Osama Bin Laden. There was not a border agent in sight.
At this point there should be no doubt that more war is coming. Despite Obama Administration promises there will be no U.S. boots on the ground, more than 1000 U.S. soldiers (Army, Marines, special operations forces) have already deployed to the country and more are on the way. Further, just as large military campaigns are preceded by what is referred to as "battlefield conditioning", similar efforts are also made to condition public opinion. From nonstop emotional coverage of the beheading of a journalist to increasingly tense warnings being made by elected officials, public opinion is proactively being shaped to minimize pushback and political fallout.
As always, AlertsUSA continues to closely monitor developments in this region and will immediately notify service subscribers of the outbreak of larger armed conflict involving U.S. forces or changes in the overall domestic terrorism threat environment, as event warrant.

World on Alert as Ebola Spreads
Aug 23, 2014
On Aug 19, 2014, AlertsUSA issued the following
related Flash message to subscriber mobile devices:
8/19 - Possible Ebola case announced by Kaiser Permanente Medical Ctr, S. Sacramento, CA. No info released as to possible source of infection. Developing situation.
What You Need to Know
Despite the well publicized release of two physicians from Emory University Hospital this week with at least one appearing to have undergone a seemingly miraculous recovery, AlertsUSA cautions readers to not become complacent on the overall threat posed by the Ebola outbreak. The virus remains one of the most lethal pathogens known to exist and these two individuals have been privy to the full extent of the available medical treatments this country has to offer.
Further, doctors at the medical facility readily admit they do not know if the experimental drug played any role in their recovery. According to Dr. Bruce Ribner of Emory University Hospital, the head of the team caring for the two infected patients:
"Frankly, we do not know whether it helped them, whether it made no difference, or even theoretically, if it delayed their recovery."
When Dr. Ribner was asked how the patients became infected since they were supposedly following all the recommended precautions, he stated the following:
"We don't know how they became infected and neither do they."
While the nation rightfully rejoices in their recovery, many questions remain, as well as conflicting pieces of information. For instance, during Thursday's Emory university press conference, Dr. Bruce Ribner clearly stated that there is strong epidemiologic evidence that once an individual has recovered from an Ebola virus disease infection, that individual is immune to that strain. This directly conflicts with information delivered just one day earlier by Prof. Victor Inem, a member of the World Health Organization committee of experts on Ebola Virus Disease in West Africa, who states that a cured Ebola victim could in fact be re-infected with the same virus if fresh contact was made with carriers.
As of Thursday the 21st, official numbers stand at just under 2500 reported cases and 1350 deaths. In the last two weeks, this number has grown by a whopping 694 new cases and 389 deaths. And these are just the documented numbers. As reported in last week's update, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that the scale of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa had been "vastly underestimated."
Additionally, the World Health Organization is warning that families hiding infected loved ones and the existence of "shadow zones" where medics cannot go mean the West African Ebola epidemic is even bigger than thought.
On Thursday, the government of S. Africa instituted a complete ban on non-citizens from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, as well as banned all non-essential outgoing travel to the affected countries. Stringent screening procedures have also been instituted for those who travel between Nigeria, Kenya and Ethiopia. The government of Senegal has suspended all flights to and from Ebola-affected countries as well as closed all land borders with Guinea. Cameroon and the Ivory Coast have also imposed travel bans.
As reported over the last several weeks, AlertsUSA warns readers that the global spread of the Ebola virus is realistically just getting started and is expected to continue for many months to come. And as the director of the CDC, Dr. Thomas Frieden has warned, the arrival of Ebola infected individuals in the U.S. is "inevitable".
Also consider that according to the CDC, U.S. hospitals have reported 68 suspected cases of Ebola Of these, 58 instances were false alarms, 10 resulted in blood samples being sent to the CDC for testing, and of these, 3 are still awaiting results. And flu season has not even arrived. We refer you to last week's Threat Journal newsletter and podcast for a look at how U.S. hospitals are worried about and preparing for the confluence of a rising number of suspected Ebola cases as the normal influx of those suffering from influenza
Here again, AlertsUSA again strongly recommends that airline travelers and those using public transportation become hyper sensitive about your proximity to those visibly ill during your trips.
While health authorities stress that Ebola is not airborne, it is transmissible, as with most other contagions, via airborne saliva particles and droplets, such as those released in coughs and sneezes. Additionally, the CDC now admits that casual contact, meaning anywhere within 3 feet of an infected person, does pose a risk of transmission. As such, your increased, polite vigilance can only be a benefit to your overall safety.
