First picture of Jihadi John as an adult

  • Mohammed Emwazi unmasked as Islamic State murderer Jihadi John believed to have beheaded several hostages
  • Pictured as a six-year-old schoolboy with classmates at a west London Church of England primary school
  • Seen for the first time without his notorious black mask, he is a picture of innocence, smiling with his friend
  • Classmates say he was quiet, popular and more interested in football than Islam, but changed at university
  • Teachers who knew him say they remember him as ‘hard-working…everything you would ever want in a student’
  • Emwazi listed his favourite computer game as ‘Time To Kill’ and book as ‘How To Kill A Monster’
  • Son of a mini-cab driver was born in Kuwait, but moved to Britain with his family at the age of six
  • He was on a terror watch list, but managed to flee to Syria in 2012 despite being banned from leaving Britain
  • MI5 and police had come into contact with him 12 times but blunders and lack of surveillance let him escape
  • Do you know Jihadi John? Please email or call 0203 615 1866

The face of British ISIS executioner Jihadi John as an adult has been published for the first time today.

The world’s most wanted man has been named as Mohammed Emwazi, a Briton who fled to Syria under the noses of MI5 in 2012.

The picture has emerged from his University of Westminster student record, where he studied computer science.

Revealed: This is the face of Jihadi John, Mohammed Emwazi, who is ISIS’ British executioner.

Islamic State executioner-in-chief Jihadi John was a fun-loving ten-year-old who adored The Simpsons, Playstation games and eating chips, and dreamt of becoming a Premier League star scoring goals for Manchester United by the age of 30.

Londoner Mohammed Emwazi’s handwritten entry in his primary school yearbook shows no sign he would go on to become the world’s most wanted man believed to have beheaded a string of hostages in the name of Islam.

Describing his ambitions for his life, the Kuwaiti-born British citizen, who moved to the UK aged six, wrote: ‘What I want to be when I grow up is a footballer’, and said by the age of 30 he would be ‘in a football team scoring a goal’.

A decade later Emwazi had shunned British life and was a ‘known wolf’ to MI5 who had already taken the path towards becoming ISIS’ most notorious murderer at the age of 26.
Life's ambitions: As a ten-year-old Mohammed Emwazi set out his dreams and passions in his school year book and said he loved chips and TV and dreamt of being a football star in his school year book and said he loved chips and TV and dreamt of being a football star
Life’s ambitions: As a ten-year-old Mohammed Emwazi, left, set out his dreams and passions in his school year book and said he loved chips and TV and dreamt of being a football star.

Pictures taken of Emwazi as a schoolboy shows him smiling at the camera with his church school friends – and there is nothing to link this middle-class schoolboy to the merciless terrorist butcher Jihadi John.

The Art of Deception Official Full Movie

The truth about Global Warming, Kony 2012 & Zeitgeist.
Over the past decade, the documentary genre has become a bad joke. Fact is no longer a factor. As technology has developed, sights like youtube and vimeo make it possible for anyone to broadcast information, even if the information they express is based on lies. In an academic environment, a paper must have detailed references according to a set of university standards, but in a film, anything goes. The Art of Deception is an explanation of how a documentary is constructed to communicate truth, brainwash the audience and push an agenda.

Immigration Subcommittee Chairman Trey Gowdy Opening Statement at House Judiciary Committee Hearing “The Unconstitutionality of Obama's Executive Actions on Immigration”

WHITE OR BLACK, REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT it makes no difference. Like it or not you have to be blind not to see what is happening in Washington . WE are loosing our Country! MEET THE ENEMY
WHITE OR BLACK, REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT it makes no difference. Like it or not you have to be blind not to see what is happening in Washington . WE are loosing our Country!

As long as we insist on maintaining the “moral high ground”, we will NEVER win the war on terrorism!  We’re in a conflict which we absolutely INSIST in playing by the rules - against a maniacal group who have NO rules!
Rattlesnake Logic in dealing with terrorists…

After the Boston bombing the news media spent days and weeks trying to determine why these men did what they did.  They want to know what America did to make these brothers so angry with us.  They want to know why these men were not arrested before they did something so terrible.  The media is in a tizzy about this new era of homegrown radicals and about why and how they can live among us and still hate us.
A Texan explained it:
Here in west Texas , I have rattlesnakes on my place, living among us.  I have killed a rattlesnake on the front porch.  I have killed a rattlesnake on the back porch.
I have killed rattlesnakes in the barn, in the shop and on the driveway.
In fact, I kill every rattlesnake I encounter.
I kill rattlesnakes because I know a rattlesnake will bite me and inject me with poison.
I don't stop to wonder WHY a rattlesnake will bite me;
I know it WILL bite me because it's a rattlesnake and that's what rattlesnakes do.
I don't try to reason with a rattlesnake or have a "meaningful dialogue" with it.  I just kill it.
I don't try to get to know the rattlesnake better so I can find a way to live with
the rattlesnakes and convince them not to bite me.  I just kill them.
I don't quiz a rattlesnake to see if I can find out where the other snakes are, because (a) it won't tell me and (b) I already know they live on my place.
So, I just kill the rattlesnake and move on to the next one.
I don't look for ways I might be able to change the rattlesnake to a non-poisonous rat snake… I just kill it.  Oh, and on occasion, I accidentally kill a rat snake because I thought it was a rattlesnake at the time.  Also, I know for every rattlesnake I kill, two more are lurking out there in the brush.  In my lifetime I will never be able to rid my place of rattlesnakes.
Do I fear them?  Not really.  Do I respect what they can do to me and my family?
Yes!  And because of that respect, I give them the fair justice they deserve…
I kill them.  As a country, we should start giving more thought to the fact that
these jihadists' are telling the world their goal is to kill Americans and destroy our way of life. They have posted graphic videos on the internet showing them beheading Americans.  They are serious.  They are exactly like rattlesnakes.  It is high time for us to start acting accordingly!
I love this country.  It's the damn government I'm afraid of!  Why?  Look who's new in the White House!
Arif Alikhan, Assistant Secretary for Policy Development for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
Mohammed Elibiary, Homeland Security Adviser
Rashad Hussain, Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC)
Salam al-Marayati, Obama adviser and founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council and is its current executive director
Imam Mohamed Magid, Obama's Sharia Czar from the Islamic Society of North America
Eboo Patel, Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships

This is flat-out scary!  The foxes are now officially living in the hen house...  Now ask me why I am very concerned! Do you feel OK with this?  How can this happen? - and when will we wake up?
We are quiet while our country is being drastically changed!

8 dead, including gunman, at multiple scenes in Missouri, police say

Now Playing 9 people dead in multiple shootings in southern Missouri
Seven people were found murdered Thursday night in the small Missouri town of Tyrone, and their suspected killer discovered dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
A ninth person found dead in connection with the investigation is believed to have died from "natural causes," according to authorities.
The Texas County Sheriff's Department said officers were called to a home Thursday at 10:15 p.m. by a teenage girl who reported hearing gunshots inside a Tyrone residence. The girl fled to a neighbor's house to call authorities, and police responding to the scene found two people dead, according to officials.
Upon further investigation, authorities found five additional victims who were dead and one victim who was wounded in three additional residences, according to Sgt. Jeff Kinder of the Missouri Highway Patrol. All the homes involved in the attacks are in Tyrone, an unincorporated community in Texas County, Mo., about 140 miles southwest of St. Louis.
A search of another residence revealed the body of a deceased elderly female who appeared to have died from natural causes, officials said.
Kinder told reporters at a press conference Friday morning that investigators could not yet confirm if the woman was related to the other victims.
"I'm sure there's some type of relationship there but we don't know what it is," Kinder said. "We're not calling her a victim at this time."
The suspected gunman, a 36-year-old man from Tyrone, was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in a parked vehicle in Shannon County, authorities said.
Kinder said authorities were investigating six scenes in total Friday morning -- including the spot where the suspected gunman shot himself. He said police will not release the names of the victims and the suspect until next of kin are notified.
The injured victim is being treated at a nearby hospital, officials said.
Kinder did not release any information about a possible motive for the shootings. "This is an active investigation," he said. "In our job we see a lot of bad stuff and this is bad."
A neighbor of one of the crime scenes told the Houston Herald newspaper that police came to the door at 3:45 a.m. Friday to check for victims. Authorities told residents in the area to stay in their homes and not to open their door to strangers. The paper said the Houston School District has informed staff to arrive early work for counseling sessions.

Can We Impeach Now?

Erick Erickson
First Barack Obama decided to overreach and extend amnesty by executive order. One judge in Texas has told him no and Republicans are hanging their hat on that judge’s order.
Then the FCC decided to declare internet a public utility. They overreached, rushed it through, and committed to as little transparency as possible to make it happen. Congress did nothing on this front and the FCC decided to replace the Congress on the matter.
Now there are reports that Barack Obama, by executive order and agency regulation, will curtail the manufacture of certain ammunition.
Again and again and again the President of the United States has met the boundaries of his powers and stepped across them. The Senate is now on the verge of confirming his Attorney General appointee who sees no limits to the power of Octavius Obama.
Given Barack Obama’s continuous overreaching of power, I must now ask if it is time to consider impeachment proceedings. Is it even possible?
Of course some of you think I mean against Barack Obama. No, can we impeach, remove from office, or otherwise put metaphorical cement shoes on Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)N/A and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)67%?
The only reason Barack Obama can and is doing what he is doing is because Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)Heritage

ActionScorecardRep. John BoehnerN/AHouse Republican Average61%See Full ScorecardN/A and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)67% have enabled, emboldened, and incentivized him.
Boehner and McConnell have their press fluffers claim they are tough guys scrapping for a fight. McConnell is cast as Darth Vader. Boehner is cast as the guy in the bar. But in reality they are scared school girls. They will fund the government, extend temporary funding, and otherwise bend over in front of Obama declaring, “Thank you sir, may I have another?”
It speaks volumes that at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference, neither Boehner nor McConnell are speaking. Even the American Conservative Union, which is often criticized here and elsewhere as too close to the GOP to be indistinguishable from it, is not having them speak. In fact, ACU deserves credit for the move. The mood here among the several thousand people is deep, deep hostility toward the Republican leadership in Washington.
Much of what Barack Obama is doing, Boehner and McConnell privately support. They have no desire to fight him on Obamacare. They were happy to fund it. They have no desire to fight him on amnesty. They’re happy he did it. And on the issues that they care about, they crap their pants at the thought of a government shutdown.
Folks, we do not need to impeach Barack Obama. He is only getting away with the excesses of his office because Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)N/A and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)67% are petrified to use the power of the purse to stop him. They are so scared of political damage to themselves that they are willing to allow policy damage to the country and an undermining of the very constitution they swore an oath to defend.
At some point men have to stand up and damn the consequences to do what is right.
But we are not led by leaders of men. We are led by cowards — cowards for whom no oath is meaningful or sacred.

Why Does Maryland Have The Most Millionaires Per Capita? The Answer Might Make You Angry

raing money
The fat cats in Washington D.C. are living the high life, and they are doing it at your expense.  Over the past decade, there has been one area of the country which has experienced a massive economic boom.  Thanks to wildly out of control government spending, the Washington D.C. region is absolutely swimming in cash.  In fact, at this point the state of Maryland has the most millionaires per capita in the entire nation and it isn’t even close.  If you have never lived there, it is hard to describe what the D.C. area is like.  Every weekday morning, hordes of lawyers, lobbyists and government bureaucrats descend upon D.C. from the surrounding suburbs.  And at the end of the day, the process goes in reverse.  Everyone is just trying to get their piece of the pie, and it is a pie that just keeps on growing as government salaries, government contracts and government giveaways just get larger and larger.  Of course our founders never intended for this to happen.  They wanted a very small and simple federal government.  Sadly, today we have the most bloated central government in the history of the planet and it gets worse with each passing year.
If you were to ask most Americans, they would tell you that the wealthiest Americans probably live in cities such as New York or San Francisco.  But thanks to the Obama administration (and before that the Bush and Clinton administrations), the state of Maryland is packed with millionaires.  In particular, the Maryland suburbs immediately surrounding D.C. are absolutely overflowing with government fat cats that make a living at our expense.  Every weekday morning, huge numbers of them leave their mini-mansions in places such as Potomac and Rockville and drive their luxury vehicles to work in the city.  As the Washington Post has detailed, at this point approximately 8 percent of all households in the entire state of Maryland contain millionaires, and the rest of the area is not doing too shabby either…
In Maryland, nearly 8 out of every 100 households in 2014 had assets topping $1 million, giving the state more millionaires per capita than any other in the country, according to a new report from Phoenix Marketing International.

The rest of the Beltway isn’t lacking in millionaires either: The District and Virginia ranked in the top 10 among those with the highest number of millionaire households per capita in 2014. In Virginia, which was No. 6 on the list, 6.76 percent of the state’s 3.17 million households are millionaires. And in the District, which rounds out the top 10, 6.25 percent of its more than 292,000 households are millionaires.
And while not too many of them are millionaires, your average federal workers that toil in D.C. are doing quite well too.
Once upon a time, it was considered to be a “sacrifice” to go into “government service”.
Not anymore.

Video Transcript Shows Paris Deli Victims Not Just "a Bunch of Folks Randomly Shot"

Recently, President Obama callously referred to the victims of the Paris deli massacre by a Muslim as  "a bunch of folks randomly shot". Of course, we all knew that was nonsense. They were singled out and shot because they were Jewish. Now it is revealed that video footage from the killer himself confirms he intended to kill Jews.
While Muslim extremists massacre Jews in Europe and their co-religionists in the Middle East are embarked on a campaign of genocide against Christians, we have a president who refuses to acknowledge the obvious. His White House issued a statement that the 21 Egyptian Christians who were recently beheaded in Libya were "Egyptian citizens". He won't even acknowledge Islamic extremism or Islamic terrorism. Meanwhile, while Christians in Iraq and Syria are running for their lives, the administration is bringing in thousands of Syrian Muslims as refugees. No word on the Christians. Apparently, they are being left to fend for themselves.

And to cap it off, he convenes a White House conference on Countering Violent Extremism in which he invites the head of Muslim Brotherhood-allied MPAC and the Islamic Cultural Society of Boston, the latter with a long history of extremist figures including Yusuf al Qaradawi, Tarek Mehanna (convicted terrorist), Abdur Rahman Alamoudi, convicted terrorist. Aafia Siddiqi (convicted terrorist) and the Brothers Tsarnaev of their sister mosque in Cambridge.

Does Obama understand the threat that is facing us? Or does he care?

Obama’s Self-Professed “Confusion” About Islamic Terror

During the National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month, U.S. President Obama tried to shield Islam from criticism by depicting Christianity as equally violent and intolerant (via comments about crusades, inquisitions, and “high horses”).  Much lesser known is that he also tried to shield Islam by invoking Christian virtues.

In many ways, his comments on “humility” might be the strangest of his entire speech—to the point that Obama himself got visibly confused by his own lack of coherency and even admitted it.
The transcript of the portion in question follows, interspersed with my comments and observations.
Said Obama:
So this [Islamic State type violence] is not unique to one group or one religion.  There is a tendency in us, a sinful tendency that can pervert and distort our faith.  In today’s world, when hate groups have their own Twitter accounts and bigotry can fester in hidden places in cyberspace, it can be even harder to counteract such intolerance. But God compels us to try.  And in this mission, I believe there are a few principles that can guide us, particularly those of us who profess to believe.
Two important points here to establish context for what follows: 1) Obama is referring to the atrocities being committed by the Islamic State—the beheadings, crucifixions, rape slavery, immolations—which he claims are common to all religions; 2) By invoking “God” and offering principles to “those of us who profess to believe”—a phrase he really stresses in the video—Obama is clearly addressing American Christians in particular.
Continues Obama:
And, first, we should start with some basic humility.  I believe that the starting point of faith is some doubt—not being so full of yourself and so confident that you are right and that God speaks only to us, and doesn’t speak to others, that God only cares about us and doesn’t care about others, that somehow we alone are in possession of the truth.
These are surely some strange remarks in the context of this speech.  Obama calls on Americans in general Christians in particular to exercise some “humility” and “doubt”—and he treats the two as interchangeable in meaning, which they most certainly are not.
Humility, of course, is a well-recognized Christian virtue.  It is the exact opposite of pride; a modest if not humble opinion of oneself, one’s shortcomings.   But what does that—exercising humility—have to do with our understanding of Islamic violence and terrorism, which is, after all, the topic under discussion?  Are we not to judge and condemn it—since we’re apparently no better; is this just a reiteration of the president’s “high horse” comment earlier?
Furthermore, while Christian humility encourages self-doubt, it does not encourage doubt concerning right and wrong, good and evil.  The same Christ who advocated humility repeatedly condemned evil behavior and called on people to repent of their sins.
Finally, what exactly are we supposed to “doubt”—that the Islamic State is evil?  That they too “are in possession of the truth”?
Due to the incoherency of this speech, Obama himself eventually crashed on his own words and was left dumbfounded for a few seconds—six long and awkward seconds to be precise:
Our job is not to ask that God respond to our notion of truth—our job is to be true to Him, His word, and His commandments.  And we should assume humbly that [six-second pause] … we’re confused and don’t always know what we’re doing …
Be sure to watch the video (around the 11-minute mark) where it is clear that Obama’s own contradictory comments cause him to pause for an inordinate amount of time before he concludes that “we’re confused”—apparently a subconscious reference to his administration.
If Obama truly believed that “our job is to be true to Him, His word, and His commandments”—and assuming “He” is God of the Bible, not Allah of the Koran—then he would be speaking truth, calling a spade a spade, and coming to the aid of those countless innocents being slaughtered, raped, and enslaved by the Islamic State and in the name of Islam—just as the Crusades did one-thousand years ago (only to be demonized today, including by Obama).
In short, just as the American president misrepresented episodes from Christian history to exonerate Islamic terror during the National Prayer Breakfast, so too did he misrepresent Christian virtues like humility to create doubt and moral confusion concerning Islamic terror.
And in the end, it was he—the president of the United States—who was left confused by his own nonsensical platitudes.

"Follow the Money" - Financial Transparency BY William Bergman & Cathrine Austin Fitts

"Follow the Money"
- Financial Transparency with William Bergman
 Catherine Austin Fitts
“In a digital age, data about money is worth more than money.” ~Nicholas Negroponte This week, the Director of Research at Truth In Accounting in Chicago, Bill Bergman, joins me for a discussion of financial transparency. Bill has a remarkable background – economist at the Federal Reserve and analyst at leading brokerage and investment research companies. Bill also has a history of using financial transparency to ensure that our resources are lawfully managed. He was forced out of the Fed when his research into money laundering got too close to the truth. A rare breed among first rate economists, Bill does not stop with the official reality. He follows the money to find the real opportunities in the real economy. Do you think “financial transparency” is a mundane topic? Think again! This is about “money hunting!” Let me give you some examples. Despite an excellent employment history, you are unable to find a job and are living on unemployment insurance and food stamps. You call the support phone line for food stamps and get someone in India working for JP Morgan Chase to answer your questions. This means the US government is paying you to not work when you could be working and paying taxes doing that job. The government is, in fact, spending more money to ensure that you do not have a job. And to do so, they are paying an extra mark up to a bank that received bailout gifts in the billions. Then you realize that farm land in your county is lying fallow funded with federal farm subsidies surrounded by people with no work who are drawing federal government subsidies. However, your food stamps are paying for food shipped in thousands of miles from Latin America. Why not grow fresh food locally if it lowers subsidies being paid to people who are not working? Perhaps healthy, fresh food would lower health care expenses as well. The government is, in fact, spending more money to ensure that they finance large corporate systems outsourcing food production to other countries. The economics made no sense – a complex drain of tax dollars and financial debasement. It does, however, make sense for politicians whose campaigns are funded by the resulting capital gains on the stocks of the corporations that operate the system and win the government contracts. If you follow the money, opportunities to generate income locally in a manner that would save government money are everywhere. Corporate contractors paid $25-150 an hour plus mark up by the federal governments to do jobs that could be teleported into your community. Your neighbors currently living on government subsidies would love a job for $10-20 an hour plus health care insurance. Local businesses will not get the opportunity to compete because the government contract budgets are not accessible; Perhaps you do not notice the FHA foreclosed property across town that could be purchased and rehabbed for $100,000. Yet, it sits empty while HUD funds a public housing complex rehab for $250,000 per unit. Costs are loaded up with generous “fees for our friends;” You have not thought about the federal prison in the next county. Your spouse is working two jobs to cover household expenses and to pay federal taxes. In an entire lifetime, your family will pay $154,000 in federal income taxes. It turns out that this is the cost for one year for one prisoner to process through the criminal justice system. If you understood what it cost you, maybe you would feel differently about incarcerating non-violent criminals for growing medicinal marijuana for people who can not afford health insurance; or, Maybe you would have felt differently about the bailouts if you have known that the banks enjoyed gifts and loans in an amount equivalent to at least several multiples of all of the outstanding residential mortgages in the country. There is no more powerful tool to bring about real change than financial transparency. Turn on the lights and the profit potential is everywhere.

Janet Yellen Is Freaking Out About ‘Audit The Fed’ – Here Are 100 Reasons Why She Should Be

Great Seal - Photo by Ipankonin
Janet Yellen is very alarmed that some members of Congress want to conduct a comprehensive audit of the Federal Reserve for the first time since it was created.  If the Fed is doing everything correctly, why should Yellen be alarmed?  What does she have to hide?  During testimony before Congress on Tuesday, she made “central bank independence” sound like it was the holy grail.  Even though every other government function is debated politically in this country, Yellen insists that what the Federal Reserve does is “too important” to be influenced by the American people.  Does any other government agency ever dare to make that claim?  But of course the Federal Reserve is not a government agency.  It is a private banking cartel that has far more power over our money and our economy than anyone else does.
And later on in this article I am going to share with you dozens of reasons why Congress should shut it down.
The immense power wielded by the Federal Reserve is clearly demonstrated whenever Janet Yellen speaks publicly.  On Tuesday, her comments about interest rates sent stocks to brand new record highs
Yellen, in her semi-annual testimony before the Senate banking committee, used a word familiar to investors when she reiterated that the central bank will be “patient” on raising interest rates for the first time since the 2008 financial crisis. Traders took that as a sign that interest rates would remain unchanged until autumn.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 92.35 points (0.5%) to 18,209.19, while the Standard & Poors 500 gained 5.82 points (0.3%) to 2,115.48, both eclipsing Friday’s record closes.
But Yellen was also unusually defensive on Tuesday.  The “Audit the Fed” bill that is being sponsored by Rand Paul (among others) has her really freaked out.  The following comes from the Hill
Appearing before the Senate Banking Committee, Yellen was on the defensive, as Republicans questioned how the Fed conducts monetary policy and Democrats put forward ideas for getting tougher on Wall Street.
In the midst of all of it, Yellen generally argued the Fed was designed as an independent entity for a reason — and it would be best not to change it.
“Central bank independence in conducting monetary policy is considered a best practice for central banks around the world,” she said. “Academic studies, I think, establish beyond the shadow of a doubt that independent central banks perform better.”
In fact, she went so far as to mention the “Audit the Fed” bill by name
A GOP-controlled Congress has given the bill its best chances yet of passage, and that renewed interest led Yellen to deliver her most spirited opposition yet.
“I want to be completely clear,” she said. “I strongly oppose Audit the Fed.”
Yellen argued the audit measure would allow politicians to second-guess the Fed’s decisions, which, in turn, would weaken the central bank. And the ultimate victim of that process, she said, would be the U.S. economy.
So what is she so concerned about?
We are all accountable to someone.
What is so wrong about the Federal Reserve being accountable to Congress?
Why can’t we find out what is really going on inside the Fed?
And of course it isn’t just Yellen that is freaking out.  Just consider these comments from Richard Fisher, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas…
“It is always politically convenient to make something sound mysterious, if not malevolent, by claiming it is opaque,” Fisher said in a speech to the Economic Club of New York that is part of an effort by Fed officials to fight the legislation.
“My suspicion is that many of those in Congress calling for ‘auditing’ the Fed are really sheep in wolves’ clothing,” he said. “Having proven themselves unable to cobble together with colleagues a working fiscal policy or to construct a regulatory regime that incentivizes rather than discourages investment and job creation — in other words, failed at their own job — they simply find it convenient to create a bogeyman out of an entity that does its job efficiently.”
Obviously this is a very, very touchy subject over at the Fed.
It is quite clear that they do not want the rest of us to be able to see what they are really up to.
And the truth is that if the American people really did know how the Federal Reserve works and what it has been doing behind closed doors, most Americans would want it shut down tomorrow.
At the end of the day, the reality of the matter is that we don’t even need a Federal Reserve.  I really like how David Stockman made this point the other day…
At the end of the day, American capitalism does not need recycled political hacks like Jerome H. Powell or clueless school marms like Janet Yellen to thrive. If we need a Fed at all, it is the one designed by Carter Glass 100 years ago. That is, a “bankers bank” that was intended to provide standby liquidity at a penalty spread above the free market interest rate in consideration for good collateral originating from inventory and receivables in the real economy.
Under that arrangement, there would be no monetary central planning or pointless attempts to manage the level of GDP, the number of new jobs, the rate of housing starts, the fluctuations of the CPI or the amplitudes of the business cycle. There would also be no pegging of the money market rate, no helping hand for Wall Street gamblers, no cheap debt to enable profligate politicians to kick-the-can down the road indefinitely.
In short, what the nation really needs is not an “independent” Fed, but one that is shackled to a narrow and market-driven liquidity function. The rest of its current remit is nothing more than the self-serving aggrandizement of the apparatchiks who run it; and who have now managed to turn the nation’s vital money and capital markets into dangerous, unstable casinos, and the nations savers into indentured servants of a bloated and wasteful banking system.
The Federal Reserve has been around for just over a hundred years, and it has done an absolutely abysmal job for the American people.
I want to share with you some facts and figures that I have shared before, but they bear repeating.  Please share this list of 100 reasons why the Federal Reserve should be shut down with everyone that you know…
#1 We like to think that we have a government “of the people, by the people, for the people”, but the truth is that an unelected, unaccountable group of central planners has far more power over our economy than anyone else in our society does.
#2 The Federal Reserve is actually “independent” of the government.  In fact, the Federal Reserve has argued vehemently in federal court that it is “not an agency” of the federal government and therefore not subject to the Freedom of Information Act.
#3 The Federal Reserve openly admits that the 12 regional Federal Reserve banks are organized “much like private corporations“.
#4 The regional Federal Reserve banks issue shares of stock to the “member banks” that own them.
#5 100% of the shareholders of the Federal Reserve are private banks.  The U.S. government owns zero shares.
#6 The Federal Reserve is not an agency of the federal government, but it has been given power to regulate our banks and financial institutions.  This should not be happening.
#7 According to Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. Congress is the one that is supposed to have the authority to “coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures”.  So why is the Federal Reserve doing it?
