Christians find refuge from terror in Jordan, Fox News Reporting:

Scott Walker Wants Gay Marriage Amendment

by Morgan Mayhew -

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker isn’t a declared candidate in the 2016 Republican presidential race–though he’s expected to declare any day now. But he’s already tacking hard to the right on gay marriage.
On Friday, June 26, the Supreme Court decided 5-4 that gay marriage should be legal in all 50 states.
Gay couples can begin marrying nationwide immediately–and many already have.

Many of Walker’s opponents for the nomination have gone silent on the issue, preferring to just be happy that one of the Democrats’ social wedge issues has quickly disappeared from the table.
But Walker is speaking his mind:
“I believe this Supreme Court decision is a grave mistake,” Walker said, in a statement. “Five unelected judges have taken it upon themselves to redefine the institution of marriage, an institution that the author of this decisions acknowledges ‘has been with us for millennia.'”
But, since the Supreme Court is the law of the land–and decides, ultimately, whether laws are constitutional or not–there’s little way around their decision. The only thing that could overturn the Supreme Court’s ruling–aside from another decision from a different court case by the Supreme Court, which is highly unlikely to ever happen–would be to amend the Constitution.
That’s exactly what Walker plans to do.
Using the First Amendment’s “free exercise of religion” clause, Walker urges that Republicans “continue to fight for the freedoms of all Americans”–namely the Christians whom he feels have been attacked by the latest ruling.
Unfortunately for Walker and his supporters, there’s little chance of the Federal Marriage Amendment (as it was called under the Bush Administration) of ever becoming part of the Constitution.
An amendment to the Constitution requires not just 3/4 of Congress to approve, but also 3/4 of state legislatures to ratify.
It’s an uphill climb for even the most popular amendments–but, for something as controversial as gay marriage, that kind of landslide support would be virtually impossible.
The last time the Federal Marriage Amendment was voted on in Congress, it was soundly defeated–and that was back in mid-2006, when Republicans themselves dominated the House of Representatives.
Regardless of the likelihood of Walker’s plans, he’s staked out a clear vision for his future 2016 candidacy: that he’d run as a solid conservative.

I Fear Judgment Befalling America

I Fear Judgment Befalling America

A hearty AMEN to Dr. Dobson's words.  Let us take them in, and let us not lose heart.
The battle belongs to the Lord.
The mission of the Church in this hour is the same as it was in Paul's day; to proclaim the Glorious Gospel of Christ.  "Yes" you say you know this, but how are we to live in these wicked and perverse days? Certainly the new testament epistles speaks to the Christian life and how we are to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, of whom we are a temple, and this would apply to all times and all situations. Putting on and wearing our "armor" as prescribed in Ephesians 6 also makes perfect sense that it is of utmost importance in these last days.  Perhaps it is too simple of me to define the life we are to lead however by one verse, and that one by an ancient Prophet of God under the law...yet, for the sake of brevity, I do believe it somewhat encapsulates the Christian life. - "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?(Micah 6:8)
Then again, perhaps you will allow me one more verse, this time from the great Apostle Paul who is the apostle to the gentiles when he said in Romans 12:

"Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."

BY James Dobson

Even though Friday’s re-definition of marriage by the U. S. Supreme Court was anticipated, I have found myself grieving over its implications for my country and for Western civilization itself.  This radical decree will have a devastating affect on every dimension of culture. I grieve most for what it will do to our children, our grandchildren and future generations. They will be taught that right is wrong and wrong is right, and that the teachings of Scripture are unreliable and inaccurate. How outrageous it is that boys and girls barely out of babyhood are already being introduced in some schools to perverse adult behavior. Soon, public school textbooks throughout the country will be re-written and re-illustrated to conform to today’s ruling. It matters not that these revisions will contradict the beliefs and convictions of their parents. It will soon become the law of the land. Many more vulnerable kids will grow up in homes with same-sex parents, obviously lacking either masculine or feminine role models. They are the real victims of the Court’s ruling. Adults will suffer, too. I believe a barrage of court cases has already been planned against those who hold to politically incorrect views of marriage. Many of us will be dragged into court to be prosecuted or subjected to civil judgments. Some will lose their jobs, while others forfeit their businesses. Some will be persecuted and ridiculed and fined. Some may go to prison as the years unfold. Since same-sex marriage has now been determined to be a universal human right by the highest court in the land, it will trump religious liberty, churches, seminaries, Christian schools, businesses and a host of individual liberties. I also fear that judgment will befall this once great nation. Here is the question of the hour. The organization I lead, Family Talk, is in accord with the National Organization for Marriage. This is an excerpt of its editorial released Friday:

We reject this decision and so will the American people. It represents nothing but judicial activism, legislating from the bench, with a bare majority of the Justices on the Supreme Court exercising raw political power to impose their own preferences on marriage when they have no constitutional authority to do so. It is a lawless ruling that contravenes the decisions of over 50 million voters and their elected representatives. It is a decision that is reminiscent of other illegitimate Court rulings such as Dred Scott and Roe v. Wade and will further plunge the Supreme Court into public disrepute. Make no mistake about it: The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) [and my organization, Family Talk] and countless millions of Americans do not accept this ruling. Instead, we will work at every turn to reverse it. The U.S. Supreme Court does not have the authority to redefine something it did not create. Marriage was created long before the United States and our constitution came into existence. Our constitution says nothing about marriage. The majority who issued today’s ruling have simply made it up out of thin air with no constitutional authority.
In his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” Dr. Martin Luther King discussed the moral importance of disobeying unjust laws, which we submit applies equally to unjust Supreme Court decisions. Dr. King evoked the teaching of St. Thomas Aquinas that an unjust law or decision is one that is “a human law that is not rooted in eternal law or natural law.” Today’s decision of the Supreme Court lacks both constitutional and moral authority. There is no eternal or natural law that allows for marriage to be redefined. Today’s decision is by no means the final word concerning the definition of marriage; indeed it is only the beginning of the next phase in the struggle. NOM is committed to reversing this ruling over the long term and ameliorating it over the short term.
Speaking now for our organization, Family Talk, I believe it is time for this nation to hold State Constitutional Conventions, which would allow certain provisions within the Constitution to be reaffirmed. Among these possibilities would be a provision to set term limits on judges and justices. Another clause would limit the scope of their power. Unelected, unaccountable judges would no longer override the other two co-equal branches of government. Finally, language would be inserted to restore what Abraham Lincoln referred to in his Gettysburg Address as government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” Wouldn’t that be a novel idea in the 21st century? I’ll end my comments by quoting the final words from the Manhattan Declaration, written by the late Charles Colson, professor Robby George and Dr. Timothy George. They wrote: “… Because we honor justice and the common good, we will not comply with any edict that purports to compel our institutions to participate in abortions, embryo-destructive research, assisted suicide and euthanasia, or any other anti-life act; nor will we bend to any rule purporting to force us to bless immoral sexual partnerships, treat them as marriages or the equivalent, or refrain from proclaiming the truth, as we know it, about morality and immorality and marriage and the family. We will fully and ungrudgingly render to Caesar what is Caesar’s. But under no circumstances will we render to Caesar what is God’s.”

Exclusive: Franklin Graham Warns Gay Marriage Ruling Will Lead to Christian Persecution

By Todd Starnes, Fox Nation
One of the nation’s most prominent evangelical leaders issued a dire warning for the nation in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s ruling on homosexual marriage.
“I believe God could bring judgment upon America,” said Franklin Graham in an exclusive interview.
Graham told me that Christians should be prepared for persecution in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s ruling on homosexual marriage.
“You better be ready and you better be prepared because it’s coming,” Graham said just moments after the court handed down its ruling. “There will be persecution of Christians for our stand.”
Graham, the president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, said he was disappointed in the 5-4 Supreme Court ruling.
“I’m disappointed because the government is recognizing sin,” he said. “This court is endorsing sin. That’s what homosexuality is – a sin against god.”
Graham said regardless of the ruling, he will refuse to marry any same-sex couple.
“I will never recognize it in my heart because God gave marriage between a man and a woman and that’s what marriage is,” he said. “And I don’t think the court – since it never defined marriage – doesn’t have the right to redefine it. God gave us marriage. Period. And God doesn’t change his mind.”
The Supreme Court's decision means gay rights now trump religious liberty.  And if you think the cultural purging of the Southern States has been breathtaking, wait until you see what LGBT activists are about to unleash on American Christians.
“If pastors are going to be forced to provide marriage services for gay couples, I’m not going to do it,” Graham declared.
Churches and faith-based business should prepare for lawsuits and government investigations. Pastors who refuse to perform gay marriages and preach from the Bible should prepare for hate crime charges. All dissent will be silenced by the government and the activists.
But I believe that an overwhelming number of Christians will defy the law.
Governor Mike Huckabee posted this message on Facebook: "I will not acquiesce to an imperial court," vowing to "resist and reject judicial tyranny."
In closing, I am reminded of something the late Charles Colson wrote: "If we're not willing to fight this, even to the point of breaking the law, or refusing to recognize the law, then we will lose everything."
Given the choice of obeying God or the government, I believe Christians will obey God - even if there is hell to pay.

CERN: In the Year of Light, A Door to Darkness (Part 1)

by JohnMcTernan

CERN is an acronym for “Counseil European pour la Recherche Necleaire” and its massive Large Hadron Collider (LHC) powered up for a start on March 13, 2015. As noted below, it also stands for a shortened form of “Cernunos,” the horned god. This post will cover some disturbing things: the occult nature of this so-called “science project” and some of the more hidden aspects which scientists have revealed through statements not covered widely in the mass media. Our next post will deal more with the science of CERN.

These hidden purposes are occultist, and appear to relate to prophetic fulfillment of some of the most troubling passages in the Bible. Despite what mainstream media reports, this is more than a science experiment, even a massive, extremely expensive science experiment. For one thing, outside of CERN headquarters is a statue of the Hindu god Shiva, the “lord of destruction.”

And recently CERN itself produced a dance video, “Symmetry” filmed partly within CERN headquarters, in which they do Shiva’s “dance of destruction.” This video covers the dance in detail, along with many other occult connections. We’d urge everyone to watch it because you’ll see more easily and more clearly just how occult this “science” experiment really is.  In addition, Israeli students working at CERN photographed some interesting, large panels with ancient writing that had blue beams surrounding them. What is their purpose?

What might the LHC do? There are indications that it could change times and physical laws as it destroys the fabric of space-time. In other words, it potentially can open wormholes and portals to other dimensions, more commonly called, “stargates.”

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

There’s much more that we’ll cover later, but in conjunction with their stylized 666 logo, that should be enough to give anyone a good indication of what they’re doing besides conducting physics experiments.  There has been a great deal of discussion about the fact that it appears to be the modern equivalent of the legendary Tower of Babel. Lest you think we’re merely carried away with the symbolism, we’ll provide clear evidence that this is what they’re attempting to do, and you can read their own words to that effect. This is both symbolic and actual “magick” on a high level because it’s not just science that’s being used, but ritual and invocations in concert with the science.

Our everyday lives don’t have much to do with this kind of thinking, even though we’re surrounded by symbolism that clearly reveals where man deliberately has been headed. The symbols are all but invisible to us because they’re so common, although they have an effect at a spiritual level.  But not only are they divorced from our everyday lives, we’ve been discouraged from looking too closely by a media who not only puts them in front of us, often subliminally, but ridicules those who do look deeper as “conspiracy theorists.”

We must recognize the purpose has been to keep our eyes closed because the God we serve is more powerful than anything they can devise. If we open our eyes, we’ll begin to repent and to pray for at least a short reprieve from what’s coming.
High Technology

Strange panels at CERN with ancient writing – what are their purpose?

CERN Collider – The Stargate of Shiva?
“The pictures you see above were taken within the LHC facility… Strange panels with ancient writings assembled onto a structure with some kind of blue beam light surrounding it, that seems to be a movement sensor or something. They could be just fancy messages left by foreign scientists, representing their nations. Some panel[s] seem ancient Mandarin, other[s] some Arab characters, but one particular panel has very strange characters, that…seem nothing [like] I’ve seen before and [an]other panel has Sanskrit characters. In India, the only people that read and write Sanskrit, are scholars of Vedas and Upanishads, scriptures written in the “language of the gods”. Why [do] these panels have security sensors around [them] and what are they??” Invocations???”
CernunnosThe following 2 videos are related to CERN, and to the UN’s declaration of 2015 as, “The International Year Of Light.” They’re not talking about electric light here, but about Lucifer, the Light Bearer, the god of the elite who run this planet. In addition, CERN itself can be considered as the shortened form of CERNUNNOS, the Green Man, or Horned God. This isn’t all coincidence.
Diamonds in the Rough This first video is by Anthony Patch, a researcher and writer on the subject of the LHC and dimensional portals. It has some great pictures of the collider. The music is “Fire on High” by Electric Light Orchestra.
“Diamonds in the Rough” upcoming novel, by Anthony Patch exposing the opening of a dimensional portal using Adiabatic Quantum Computers and the Large Hadron Collider.

CERN: Beginnings of this years events start on 2/4/2015 This is the year of Light (Lucifer)

“This year, which marks the centenary of the publication of Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity, has been named the International Year of Light…and light-based technologies by the UN General Assembly. CERN is taking this opportunity to communicate about the High Luminosity LHC project and CERN’s involvement in the SESAME synchrotron laboratory in Jordan. Light is also the main theme of CERN’s participation in the 2015 Researchers’ Night.”

2015: the International Year of Light  This is the official page of CERN relating to their celebration of ‘luminosity” during this year.

The CERN Directory  This is an extensive, official directory where you can search for particular people or projects, browse CERN websites or find information about CERN.

“The next couple of years will be make or break for the next big theory in physics called supersymmetry – SUSY for short. It might make way for a rival idea which predicts the existence of a ‘fifth force’ of nature. [W]hen the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) resumes its experiments, scientists will be looking for evidence of SUSY. It explains an awful lot that the current theory of particle physics does not. But there is a growing problem, provocatively expressed by Nobel Laureate George Smoot: “supersymmetry has got symmetry and it’s super but there is no experimental data to suggest it is correct.” The current theory to explain the forces of nature was developed in the 1960s and is called the Standard Model. It elegantly explains how 13 particles, including the Higgs, interact to create three of the four forces of nature: electromagnetism, and the nuclear strong and weak forces.
Will CERN find super particles and hidden dimension
But the Standard Model does not explain how gravity works, nor can it account for the matter and energy that makes up 95% of the Universe – referred to by physicists as the “Dark Universe”. Supersymmetry is an extension of the Standard Model and is an attempt to explain some of the things the current theory can’t.”

THE COLLIDE: CERN & the birth of an EVIL AGE (R$E)  We’ve featured videos from this Youtube channel before, most recently in our post on commercials, “Mind Programming and The Commercial Trance State.” CERN is about much more than science, and as this video shows, the elites pushing this are using media to indoctrinate the population to create acceptance of the agenda they’re pursuing. This video clearly reveals the symbolism of CERN that’s being promoted in everything from music videos to commercials. CERN is about opening a stargate, opening the pit. It’s about the birth of the age of antichrist.

God has warned in the Bible where this world system is heading. The 666 Surveillance System is now on the fast track. There is no stopping it. Are you going to be with Jesus Christ and eternal life, or are you going to take the “666 Mark” and be eternally damned? The stakes could not be higher: eternal life or eternal loss, separation from God and from all He is: light, love, beauty, goodness, fellowship. In other words, loss is the state referred to as damnation. The Bible is clear that it is all this and more; it is eternal punishment for the crimes we have committed on this earth. Now is the time to repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Make sure that you use The 666 Surveillance System brochure as it is a great witnessing tool. I also offer the Prophecy Packet which includes that 666 brochure. If you would like a copy, please email Dave at: and ask for the packet along with giving your name and mailing address. Now is the time to use prophetic information to share the gospel.
The following verses state what the Bible says happens to all who reject salvation through Jesus Christ, and receive the “Mark of the Beast”:
Revelation 14:9-11 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Judge Napolitano Unloads on Obamacare Decision

"These six justices have violated their own long-established rules of interpretation for applying statutes to instead advance their own political objectives or burnish their public persona,” Klayman said in reaction to the decision. “Such personal goals corrode the role of the court. The justices abandoned the rule of law and have become merely a political focus group.”

As Justice Antonin Scalia makes clear in his dissent, the six justices actually rewrote the Affordable Care Act instead of interpreting it. Scalia wrote that the legacy of the Roberts Court will be “forever the discouraging truth that the Supreme Court of the United States favors some laws over others, and is prepared to do whatever it takes to uphold and assist its favorites.”"

Scalia slams 'jiggery-pokery' used to save Obamacare

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia on Thursday was joined by Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito in slamming the court’s 6-3 majority for using “jiggery-pokery” to keep alive Obamacare, President Obama’s signature health-care law.

In a scathing dissent to the majority that said exchanges “established by the state” could also, in context, mean exchanges established by the federal government, he hinted at something going on behind the scenes. “Under all the usual rules of interpretation, in short, the government should lose this case. But normal rules of interpretation seem always to yield to the overriding principle of the present court: The Affordable Care Act must be saved,” the dissent said. Scalia wrote: “The court interprets 36B to award tax credits on both federal and state exchanges. It accepts that the ‘most natural sense’ of the phrase ‘exchange established by the state’ is an exchange established by a state … (Understatement, thy name is an opinion on the Affordable Care Act!) yet the opinion continues, with no semblance of shame, that ‘it is also possible that the phrase refers to all exchanges – both state and federal.’ (Impossible possibility, thy name is an opinion on the Affordable Care Act!). “The court claims that ‘the context and structure of the act compel it to depart from what would otherwise be the most natural reading of the pertinent statutory phrase.’” Context, however, Scalia wrote, “is a tool for understanding the terms of the law, not an excuse for rewriting them.” Chief Justice John Roberts’ majority opinion, he wrote, “goes beyond giving words bizarre meanings: it leaves the limiting phrase ‘by the state’ with no operative effect at all.” In fact, he said, the ruling has to “cross out ‘by the state’ … seven times.” His summation? The majority used “interpretive jiggery-pokery.” The dissent said the reasoning by the majority was “quite absurd.”
“And the court’s 21 pages of explanation make it no less so,” it said.
“This case requires us to decide whether someone who buys insurance on an exchange established by the secretary [of Health and Human Services] gets tax credits. You would think the answer would be obvious – so obvious there would hardly be a need for the Supreme Court to hear a case about it. In order to receive any money. … An individual must enroll in an insurance plan through an ‘exchange established by the state.’” They pointedly noted the federal exchange was not a state exchange. “Words no longer have meaning if an exchange that is not established by a state is ‘established by the state.’ It is hard to come up with a clearer way to limit tax credits to state exchanges that to use the words ‘established by the state,’”  the dissent said. Reacting to the decision, Fox News’ Senior Judicial Analyst Andrew Napolitano said Roberts “will continue to undermine his own credibility as a fair-minded jurist because he has reached to bizarre and odd contortions in order to save this statute twice.” When doesn’t your future look bright? Maybe a hint from Judge Andrew Napolitano, in “It Is Dangerous To Be Right When The Government Is Wrong.” He called Roberts’ ruling “weird and unpredictable.” Scalia wrote: “We should start calling this law SCOTUScare.”
WND reported Obama was accused of trying his hand at “bullying” the Supreme Court ahead of the decision. Fox News reported Obama was in Europe for a summit when he said it was a case the high court “should never have taken up.” Obama also claimed it has been well-documented that Congress never intended to exclude people who got their insurance through the federal exchange. But Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice told Bill Hemmer in a Fox News interview: “I think this is almost like a bullying technique. The president here is upset because the Supreme Court took it. Well, there was a conflict in the circuits and when the circuits are in conflict with each other, the Supreme Court resolves the conflict.” Sekulow said the president “keeps saying, well, it’s just four words,” “established by the state.” But it’s four words, he said, “that carry billions of dollars, hundreds of millions of dollars of subsidies with them and it affects the way his law’s being implemented, and IRS – this is the part that everybody forgets – the IRS was the one who changed this rule. “It’s like a political campaign against the Supreme Court here. … This president has shown a pretty consistent disregard for the Supreme Court when he doesn’t like their opinion,” Sekulow said. “I think here’s what he’s doing. He’s trying to say if the Supreme Court upholds the law as it’s actually written … then you the America people blame the Supreme Court. The correct response is maybe someone should have read this law before they passed it.” See the Sekulow interview:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Scalia wasn’t finished.
“Equating establishment ‘by the state’ with establishment by the federal government makes nonsense of other parts of the act. The act requires states to ensure on pain of losing Medicaid funding, that any ‘exchange established by the state’ uses a ‘secure electronic interface to determine an individual’s eligibility for various benefits (including tax credits). … How could a state control the type of electronic interface used by a federal exchange?” he asked.
Even in the majority opinion, he wrote, “each of the provisions mentioned by the court is perfectly consistent with limiting tax credits to state exchanges.”
“The court claims that the act must equate federal and state establishment of exchanges when it defines a qualified individual as someone who (among other things) lives in the ‘state with established the exchange.’ … Otherwise, the court says, there would be no qualified individuals on federal exchanges, contradicting, for example, the provision requiring every exchange to take the ‘interests of qualified individuals’ into account when selecting health plans.
“Pure applesauce,” the dissent said. “Imagine that a university sends around a bulletin reminding every professor to take the ‘interests of graduate students’ into account when setting office hours, but that some professors teach only undergraduates. Would anybody reason that the bulletin implicitly presupposes that every professor has ‘graduate students,’ so that ‘graduate students’ must really mean ‘graduate or undergraduate students’? Surely not.”
He said, “The court’s decision reflects the philosophy that judges should endure whatever interpretive distortion it takes in order to correct a supposed flaw in the statutory machinery.”
Scalia said the court “forgets that ours is a government of laws and not of men.”
“That means we are governed by the terms of our laws, not by the unelected will of our lawmakers. … This court ‘has no roving license … to disregard clear language simply on the view that … Congress ‘must have intended’ something broader.’”
Scalia said the court “should have left it to Congress to decide what to do about the act’s limitation of tax credits to state exchanges.”
He then criticized Roberts for his majority opinion three years earlier that changed “penalties” in the law to “taxes” so that the law would be constitutional.
“Today’s opinion changes the usual rules of statutory interpretation for the sake of the Affordable Care Act. That, alas, is not a novelty. In National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius … this court revised major components of the statute in order to save them from unconstitutionality. The act that Congress passed provides that every individual ‘shall’ maintain insurance or else pay a ‘penalty.’ The court, however, saw that the Commerce Clause does not authorize a federal mandate to buy health insurance. So it rewrote the mandate-cum-penalty as a tax.”
That ruling and the current one “will publish forever the discouraging truth that the Supreme Court of the United States favors some laws over others, and is prepared to do whatever it takes to uphold and assist its favorites.”
HYBRID HORROR – Jurassic World of Genetically Modified Simulacra
BY Jay Dyer
21st Century Wire
Jurassic World is the sometime sequel to whatever the last Jurassic film was. In Jurassic Park, there is an ill-conceived theme park based on genetic resurrecting of the dinosaur all-star team…
Now, Hollywood shows it’s gone fully green in ‘
recycling’ the same plot for a new audience of zombies with Frankensaurus Rex. While the Jurassic Plot (that’s a joke) is only a sliver different from the first, this time around genetic modification has transformed the resurrected dinos into GMdinO hybrids despite the chaos unleashed in the original park:
In this respect the human inability to learn from the past is accurate. As such, the heights of absurdity cannot be over emphasized, as the descent of Hollywood into a simulacra of a simulation takes meta to a new level of entertainment irrelevance and non-being.
Think of it – a theme park is a synthetic reality. In it, humans escape “reality” for a period of a few days in a false world of entertainment, hedonistic abandon, guttural consumption, and the latest in smoke and mirrors stagecraft wizardry. And following this week of escape, Amerikans (especially) return to the real world – of entertainment, hedonistic abandon, guttural consumption and the latest in smoke and mirrors stagecraft sports spectacles.
On top of this, Jurassic World is a film (synthetic reality) about a synthetic reality, and for much of the film, we are watching the surveillance team of Jurassic World watch the fake world of Jurassic World. So, to recap for those lost in the meta, a fake Amerikan populace is watching a false reality about a false reality within a false reality. Onion rings of false realities!
Would you like any CGI fries with those illusory onion rings?
Discussing the subject of synthetic reality and celebrity Hollywood “culture,” Chris Hedges writes:
“Celebrity culture encourages everyone to think of themselves as potential celebrities, as possessing unique if unacknowledged gifts. It is, as Christopher Lasch diagnosed a culture of narcissism. Faith in ourselves, in a world of make-believe, is more important than reality. Reality, in fact, is dismissed as an impediment to success, a form of negativity.
The New Age mysticism and pop psychology of television personalities, evangelical pastors, along with the array of self-help bestsellers penned by motivational speakers, psychiatrists, and business tycoons, all peddle a fantasy. Reality is condemned in this popular belief system as the work of Satan, as defeatist, as negativity…” (Empire of Illusion, pg. 49).
In this redone re-do of Island of Dr. Moreau, teens across Amerika return to the coffin of Isla Nublar that claimed so many fictional 90s lives. I won’t spend too much time on the plot since, as I mentioned, it’s the same as the first, with a new hybrid terror of mixing the velociraptor with the T Rex into “Verizon Wireless presents, the Indominus Rex.” Splicing DNA into a new test hybrid to see the effects, as predictably, the dinos go bonkers and feast on teens and fat Amerikans (and some other choice race morsels).  I am reminded here of Baudrillard:
“These two forms no longer concern us except in part, or not at all. The nihilism of transparency is no longer either aesthetic or political, no longer borrows from either the extermination of appearances, nor from extinguishing the embers of meaning, nor from the last nuances of an apocalypse.
There is no longer an apocalypse (only aleatory terrorism still tries to reflect it, but it is certainly no longer political, and it only has one mode of manifestation left that is at the same time a mode of disappearance: the media – now the media are not a stage where something is played, they are a strip, a track, a perforated map of which we are no longer even spectators: receivers). The apocalypse is finished, today it is the precession of the neutral, of forms of the neutral and of indifference.
I will leave it to be considered whether there can be a romanticism, an aesthetic of the neutral therein. I don’t think so – all that remains, is the fascination for desert-like and indifferent forms, for the very operation of the system that annihilates us.
Now, fascination (in contrast to seduction, which was attached to appearances, and to dialectical reason, which was attached to meaning) is a nihilistic passion par excellence, it is the passion proper to the mode of disappearance. We are fascinated by all forms of disappearance, of our disappearance. Melancholic and fascinated, such is our general situation in an era of involuntary transparency.”
So on the famous Jay’s Analysis esoteric perception level, what do we see worth elucidating in Jurassic World?
A fictional world, that is a huge theme park with a giant ziggurat in the middle, fully surveilled in total panoptic glory, where a technocratic elite test out genetically modified
chimaeras. Jurassic World is Amerika – and by extension, the world, and the title of film itself gives away what it’s really about.
‘Blood Sport’ – a dino hybrid version of SeaWorld on display in Jurassic World. (Photo link mnn)
This island earth is become the island of Dr. Moreau, where the
technocrats use theme parks and the real world for mass social engineering and biosphere modification programs.  Monsters under our bed, like an H.P. Lovecraft tale.
As I wrote previously:
“From Bertrand Russell to Dr. Edward Teller, the plan that is blossoming in our day is showing itself to be a unified one – a plan that spans the last century in particular as the century of the “final revolution” (in Russell’s words), where scientific process would reveal the secrets to technological imperialism.  Teller himself, as I have written, was not only a key figure in the development of the hydrogen bomb and the Manhattan Project, but also the father of aerosol spraying and atmospheric geoengineering. This period is thus concurrent with the alchemical atomic and nuclear tests done igniting bombs in the atmosphere, beginning at the Trinity Site in New Mexico.”
While the film did present a pro male and pro family perspective with Christ Pratt garnering some livid social justice warrior hate for being a male hero, the overall message of the film is crucial: there is a technocratic elite that view the world as a giant science experiment.
From the time of the Manhattan Project, this experiment expanded to include the alteration of the entire biosphere through geoengineering and genetic modification. This program includes mass vaccinations, radiation experimentation, food modification, animal cloning and interspecies gene splicing, nanotech, and God knows what else.
Amerika is Disneyland and Jurassic World all at once…
As Fr. Seraphim Rose opined:
“Forget about God and any other life but the present; remove from your life the fear of God and reverence for holy things; regard those who still believe in God in the “old-fashioned’ way as enemies who must be exterminated.
One might take, as a symbol of our carefree, fun-loving, self-worshipping times, our American “Disneyland”; if so, we should not neglect to see behind it the more sinister symbol that shows where the “me generation” is really heading: the Soviet Gulag, the chain of concentration camps that already governs the life of nearly half the world’s population.”
As this “progress” continues on course, Pratt’s character in the film is correct to object that “maybe progress should lose for once.” When man’s quest to dominate the natural world results in the inversion of nature and the wrecking of the entire biosphere (as is happening), man begins to lose himself, as well as the most fundamental aspects of human interrelation, between male and female.
By the climax of the film, Bryce Dallas Howard’s bitchy CEO persona has been humbled, and Pratt’s masculinity vindicated. While technology is capable of vast wonders, our actual technocratic elite are busy altering the biosphere and watching our response through Internet algorithmic tracking to better predict our Pavlovian responses.
Meanwhile, we are losing our own identity as man and woman, transfixed by the glare of the real monster, our Cthulhonic screen.
Hedges continues:
“An image-based culture communicates through narratives, pictures and pseudo-drama.  Scandalous affairs, hurricanes, untimely deaths, train wrecks – these events play well on computer screens and televisions….Kings and queens once used their court conspiracies to divert their subjects.
Today, cinematic, political and journalistic celebrities distract us with their foibles and scandals. They create our pubic mythology.  Acting, politics and sports have become, as they were in Nero’s reign, interchangeable.  In an age of images and entertainment, in an age of instant emotional gratification, we neither seek nor want reality.”
Can Michael Crichton be genetically resuscitated and cloned, and if so, would he watch Jurassic World?
